LES ALLEES JEAN-JAURES

Contemporary architecture
4/5
1 review

As early as 1743, the artery, which leaves the fountain of the Fountain to end the railway line, fell into désuétude. The avenue Jean-Jaurès was the ideal place for a walk. It's the ideal place for a walk. Launched in 2004, its redevelopment advances by segment and involves the projects of architect Designer Designer. After long work, which is very binding on the merchants and neighbours, a first tranche was opened in October 2010. According to a global plan to rédistribution traffic routes, the decrease in motor traffic with the adoption of semi-communal transit opens new spaces to passers-by. Bicycle paths, green spaces and pedestrian areas are favoured. In the central part, the parking lot is now underground and paid. Kiosks, benches and water jets give a very southern side of the Ramblas, while planted plants will not have to grow too much at the risk of breaking the perpective. Ancient nettle has been preserved and already, we see the great ambition of the future Champs-Elysées nimois: bring the people back to this historic axis.

Also marketplace, the Place Carnot is the gathering place of the Marseillanais. A beating heart of the village, it was covered in 1310 by a wooden building and replaced in 1808 by a frame bordered in Venetian with arches built in black basaltic stones of Agde.

The monument as we know was completed in 1984.

A beautiful waterfall that rises over metres high in the heart of a small village… That is impossible? Well, if! How can France not surprise you! Take a tour and visit the village of Salles-la-Source. For the little story: it's here and around that many scenes of the Microcosmos film were filmed! For the history of the village: Salles-la-Source is planted in a cliff circus, on the edge of the Causse. Its waterfall, which is strongly advised to go to see, is powered by underground waterways. To learn more about Salles-la-Source, direction the museum of Du, very complete on the history of the vallon, he also presents the crafts of the past that operated here and has a planetarium.

Walking tour to discover the capitelles

Hiking
4/5
1 review

Whether you lived on the Aude or just passing through the Aude, you could not miss the numerous stone huts that dotted the landscape of Cathar Country. Typical of the region, these constructions bearing the name "capitelles" used to be used as a shelter for shepherds. The promenade we offer will allow you to discover a few. On the Rue du Château-Fort, it is an illustrated stone indicating its departure; You will then need to follow the direction of Villelongue before taking on the left and following the yellow marking of the trees (sometimes random: distrust!). The capitelles are indicated by yellow panels.

Tariff: free.

Duration: 1 p. m.

Difficulty: .

Common departure: Saint-Martin-le-Vieux.

Walk to the assault of the castle of Montségur

Hiking
4/5
1 review

Seen from the village, it is impressive. Intimidating, almost. More than 300 metres above your heads, perched on its «pog» at 1 207 metres above sea level, it even tends to demotivate the least brave. However, the hiking that takes you to you is most glamorous, and the view from there… A let us lose the words! You dominate the whole region: the country of Olmes, the lake of Montbel, and even in the distant weather, the Mediterranean. Please note that the end of the ascent and access to the castle are paid: a modest and justified amount to the views of the maintenance they require.

Tariff: € 5,50 per adult, € 3 per child aged 8 to 15; free for people under 8 years of age.

Duration: 2 h.

Difficulty: average.

Welcome to the leisure base closest to downtown Toulouse! With its fifty hectares, it offers everyone the opportunity to come to outdoors through various activities, whether paid or not. It has tennis courts (three covered and six outside), football fields, rugby grounds, gymnasium, a boulodrome, a 400 m ² skatepark, a bicross and a beautiful shady bicycle trail, on which it can also be possible to have the possibility of… do roller. You can also practice archery, Basque pelota, athletics, judo or baseball. The embarrassment of choice! For a moment in the open air with the family, you have playground and picnic areas with barbecues. Finally, if you would like to extend the promenade beyond the south exit of the park, you will find the green path that leads you to the Cité de l 'Espace.
