Calvary of Villefranche, a view plunging on the octagonal plan of the bastide, favourable for a walk by a steep path
To the east of the town and overlooking it, the Calvary of Villefranche is a goal for a walk which offers a plunging view on the orthogonal plan of the bastide and a magnificent cavalier perspective towards the Quercy steps. An orientation table is installed at the foot of a gigantic crucifix. The calvary can be reached on foot in half an hour along a steep path on the left bank of the Alzou, after crossing a small stone bridge. By car, 4 km in the direction of Mauron then Boï are necessary to reach the viewpoint.

La montée est rude mais le point de vue en vaut la peine : il permet de voir l'ensemble de la bastide et de mieux en comprendre la structure. Et puis c'est un endroit très calme à l'écart de toute route.
