Because it's necessary for all levels, we're integrating a little more difficult mountain bike route into our selection of walks. At the beginning of Saint-Félix-de-Rieutord, it takes you to the hilly landscape of the "massif. So prepare yourself to face some climbs. the cross of the Cross and the Col Pass are perhaps the most fearsome, but you will be rewarded with beautiful panoramas on the Pyrenees, and of course the ensuing raids!

This is the circuit No. 10 of the ATV trails developed by the tourist office of Saint-Affricain, and it starts from Saint-Izaire. Since you are here, we invite you, before climbing, to visit the village and its episcopal castle: the whole one deserves a look. Are you ready? Then climb your car and go to Riols, where you will cross the intriguing statue-menhir. The less brave can stop there and take the path of return by joining the Saint-Affrique-Albi line, while the others will continue towards the pond of Chur, 4 kilometers later. These will then return to a good port by taking the shaded road of Black Wood, which will lead them to a remarkable point of view at the height of Sermet.

Departure in Versols-et-Lapeyre for this mountain biking route, the eighth circuit developed by the tourist office of Saint-Affricain. Before climbing, a visit of Versols is necessary to immerse you with the charm of this fortified village and to discover its castle. Your itinerary will then take you on both sides of the Verzolet Creek, which will accompany you all along. Easy to access and low uneven (130 metres), it presents itself as a good option for a family outing.

Only atvs are allowed on this trail, and all cyclists are forced to ride in the same direction, assuring you safety and serenity if you are accompanied by children. At the beginning of the Oustalet area, close to the pony-club, the loop evolves on a wooded road sheltered from the wind. A few descents are your journey, for the delight of the youngest and least trained. As for those who were waiting for the right place to stop, you will find it when you face the Eye of the Eye panel: a few hundred metres to walk, and you will be there!

The Cauterets Bike Park promises a thrilling summer season, with 1,500 m of vertical drop and 45 minutes of non-stop downhill mountain biking. The site offers trails for all levels, from novice to experienced. You'll enjoy banked turns, gaps and other modules, while admiring the Pyrenees' iconic peaks. New features include a rehabilitated blue run, a new green run for families, and a fun zone with wooden modules. The Le Lys restaurant offers welcome refreshments.

The Eurovélo 8, or Mediterranean cycle route, which links Cadiz to Athens, i.e. 5,388 km, and Pirinexus, the cross-border cycle touring loop between Southern Catalonia and Northern Catalonia, i.e. 353 km, meet in Le Boulou. We strongly advise you to get the guide book in order to make the most of the richness of the Catalan country. You will find, at the Tourist Office of Le Boulou, the Voie Verte cycling guide as well as all the good addresses where you can taste the local products and of course where to stay along your route.

This service provider offers walks, mountain bike rides, normal or electric, at the Salagou lake, in the vineyards of the Larzac terraces, in the mountains of Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert. Indeed, the Circuit du Mont-Aigoual is spread over 90 kilometers and a difference in altitude of 800 meters! Covering a multitude of communes (Le Vigan, Saint-Guiral, Bramabiau, etc.), it offers a whole panel of typical Languedoc landscapes and has almost become a national reference of its kind.

Set in the heart of the Causse forest, this area is designed for keen and experienced cyclists as well as amateurs and beginners. This environmentally-friendly mountain bike park is divided into three routes, each accessible according to age and level. The first has been designed and made safe for toddlers. The second, with two workshops and three natural obstacles, is reserved for 5 to 8 year-olds. The third circuit, just over a kilometer long, is punctuated by a footbridge and numerous obstacles to appeal to the over 8s. Sensations for the whole family.

No need to have an excellent level to be fun on wild and cabossées tracks! The proof is with this ATV circuit. Easy to access, ideal even for families, it offers you in spite of all beautiful paths and a good stony descent to St. Lawrence Creek: caution! At the pace of your pedals, you discover the rich historical heritage of the surrounding municipalities and hamlets. In particular, you go to Saillagol, two-thirds of the course; if you are tired, make a short stop: you may find some dogs or cats happy to get caresser!

Thierry Jalbaud - a state-certified cycling instructor, holder of the "Certificat de Qualification Handisport randonnée" (Handisport hiking qualification certificate) and a French National Education accreditation - offers mountain bike tours, courses and lessons in the heart of the most beautiful sites in the area. Training sessions enable you to become autonomous over a cycle, learn how to orientate yourself with a GPS, find your bearings and follow the trails. Fun Bike Center is first and foremost a bicycle shop. But to explore the paths of Vallespir, you can rent electric mountain bikes from Haibike, model 2018. The whole team of the shop is also there to guide you towards the trails and loops marked out according to your level. And in the area, there is no shortage of paths and trails and they will take you up to the border ridges at an altitude of over 1000 m.
