In his wine selection, he favors both the great Bordeaux vintages and lesser-known estates. Did you know that Richard the Lionheart (Duke of Normandy and builder of the very close-Château castle) gave his name to a beer? Blonde, amber, pure brown malt or Christmas beer, haute and non-pasteurised fermentation, is a beer rich in flavours that will delight amateurs. The visit allows you to discover the different stages of its manufacture, from the crushing of barley to bottling, but also to taste the beer jam, with a surprising taste. The house also manufactures Du, an aperitif based on beer and beer-de-vie in oak barrels, measuring 16°. A unique product in Europe! And if you are conquered, you can make provision for soft amertumes at the shop. Smarter: Blonde, brown or raspberry, the house offers beer jam La Richard Coeur de Lion based on yeast and sugar yeast. Non-alcoholic guarantees!

Several hundred liters of beer are brewed monthly by the team of workers at the bitter, a microbrewery that is no longer so micro, and which has gradually gained many fans. Having won prizes in numerous contests, the beers are brown, blond, amber, and always tasty. You can find these delights in many local establishments, and especially in the nice shop located at the bottom of the village of Les Pieux.

After several years in Gratot, a few kilometres away, Captain James is now in Agon-Coutainville, joining a larger space to develop his activities. These are well known locally: the brewing of beers, which come in all colours: white, blonde, red and brown, not forgetting IPA, with its distinctive aroma. Chinquante: no, there's no extra letter in this name, it's just the way of saying (and writing) the number of the Manche department in local dialect! And that's not all, because Chinquante is also the name of an incredible variety of beers, developed and produced in Saint-Vaast! Launched by a group of young enthusiasts, the business not only offers pale and amber beers, but also a number of original creations, some of which are made in secret. The latter won awards at the last Salon de l'Agriculture!

In this warm and friendly place, everyone gathers around a beer (you guessed it) or a glass of wine for a soccer match or a themed evening. As the name suggests, there's a wide choice of beers: blond, amber, Belgian, Breton, German and more. The atmosphere is excellent and often festive. Located right in the heart of the city, Le Bercail has brought a breath of originality and joy to Alençon evenings. A blend of wood, brick and metal, it produces its own beers (the most popular of which are called "l'Avant-Première" and "Planet of the Hops"). Among the many beers made in the Manche, in Hauteville, it is the Moussette that you will find. Behind this pretty name, a link between the beverage and the nearby sea, lies the know-how of two young locals. Brown, blond, white: the beer elaborated here in the rules of art is full of flavors, strong and soft, and is acquired according to half-liter bottles. One of the latest offerings is from Brasserie de l'Ouve: this craft microbrewery was created by Nicolas Marchand, a native of the region with a passion for the subject. Blonde, rousse, amber, the flavors on offer are just as varied, and the Barbey, the name given to the first products, has already met with success. Although the company doesn't currently have a boutique, you can find these beers at local markets and events.
