LE BARBOCHEUX
Read moreDon't leave the Islands without tasting the famous bagosse, the "beer of the Islands" as the locals call it, available in two flavours (strawberry and raspberry, cranberry and dandelion). It is a very popular artisanal fruit wine. Other products for sale on site: a port-like drink made from blueberries and cranberries (Châlin), a raspberry liqueur (Ariel) and a sparkling strawberry and rhubarb wine (Le Moussaillon). Each of Le Barbocheux's products evokes the history and traditions of the Magdalen Islands in its own way.

Read moreAs the region's first micro-distillery, it puts the terroir in the bottle as it draws on local resources to create its spirits. Its flagship product is undoubtedly KM12 gin, which includes dune pepper and balsam fir buds, and a Nordic cucumber version is also available. Then there's 48 Chemin Price gin, fermented from blueberry mash, Lily Liqueur, available in two versions (wintergreen and wild mint, and Labrador tea) and ready-to-drink products.

First, because it incorporates the history of the surrounding area (the distillery is located halfway between the site of the Iroquois village of Stadacona and the place where Jacques Cartier settled), and second, because it decided to create an on-site escape game, which is a prelude to the guided tour. In terms of products, three gins with local flavors as well as a Nordic Pale Ale, alcoholic ready-to-drink and an aronia liqueur. To be discovered!

Read moreThis family-run vineyard produces several quality wines, including Brut Nature sparkling wine, Insula fortified wine (whisky-mutated grape must aged in American oak barrels for 3 to 10 years), Réserve du Bout de l'île white (lees stirred in oak barrels for 8 months) and Saison Terrasse rosé. The vineyard also produces cider, and in recent years the family has ventured into distillation, producing a brandy similar to grappa in Italy. Read moreHoused in its superb riverside premises, this artisanal distillery stands out for its St. Laurent Gin, infused with local hand-harvested kelp (the team also makes a version aged for over a year in old whisky barrels). BRETT & SAUVAGE
Read moreBrett & Sauvage is the brainchild of Francis Joncas, best known for co-founding the Pit Caribou microbrewery. However, the spirit of brewing is completely different here, with the place devoted entirely to spontaneous fermentation. The yeasts and lactic acid bacteria naturally present in the air seed the wort as it cools in the "coolship", before the beers and ciders are aged in oak barrels for one to three years. The result: exceptional products to be enjoyed without moderation!

Read moreThis cidery-vineyard is located on a 30-hectare estate and produces, among other things, the famous fire cider, the first of its kind in Quebec. Unlike ice cider, which is made from frost, this product is made from heat. The company also produces ice cider (also a Reserve version), aperitif, sparkling, hopped and aronia, not to mention wines such as the Seyval Blanc - Vidal with citrus aromas, the Rosé with floral and red berry notes, or the Chardonnay with aromas of roasted nuts and honey.

Menaud is both a distillery and a microbrewery producing nectars made with the region's herbs, wild flowers, fruits and grains.
