To get from the airport to downtown, the most efficient means are the 747 shuttle (24-hour service, $11 CAN for a ticket valid for 24 hours on the entire Zone A network), cabs (from $48.40 CAN to downtown) and services such as Uber. They serve the Montreal, Laval, South Shore and North Shore areas. Cab Diamond also has a mobile application and website to facilitate cab bookings. Their goal is to electrify 2030 of their vehicles, making them the largest fleet of electric cabs in Quebec. They emphasize safety, with trained drivers and on-board surveillance cameras. However, due to the current driver shortage, reservations are unfortunately not guaranteed.

The bus station covers all North American destinations located more than 35 km from the metropolis. From Montreal, you can reach the rest of the country with various companies, as well as the United States with the Greyhound bus company (greyhound.com). The charter company Megabus (frca.megabus.com), which offers an ultra-frequent service between Montreal and Toronto, is based near Montreal's Central Station downtown.

BIXI (contraction of BIcyclette and taXI), a self-service public bicycle system, is available in several areas of the city.
