Located in the former Wesleyan church, Le Sacristain sandwich shop offers healthy meals with a touch of Mediterranean inspiration: soups, salads, grilled sandwiches, quiches and homemade desserts. Lunch packages including a glass of wine are very cheap. The owners of the premises attach great importance to the quality of the products offered, but also to the decoration of their small restaurant. The style of the old place of worship is well preserved, thanks in particular to the magnificent restored stained glass windows hung from the ceiling.

After Lisbon, Miami, New York, Boston and Chicago, it's Montreal's turn to host this gastronomic and cultural market. It's like being in a loft: friendly atmosphere (small tables for two or large wooden tables to share), very high ceilings, light colors. The brunch served all week is a must. And there's plenty to choose from, including the more traditional "Canton", "Lac Brome" with duck confit, eggs Benedict with orange sauce, spinach and potatoes, and even the red fruit pancakes. Located just a few steps from the sea, flanked by its large sailboat and maritime decor, the Cantine des Navigateurs offers a tasty on-the-go menu: homemade fish & chips or cod croquettes, lobster club sandwiches, shrimp guédilles, bouillabaisse, not to mention typical snack dishes (burgers, hot dogs, poutine, smoked meat, fries...). All you have to do is accompany it with a good Gaspesian beer. Takeaway meals are also available, as is an outdoor terrace.

Cathcart Restaurants and Biergarten opened in early 2020 as part of the Esplanade Place Ville Marie revitalisation project. Well-known café in this beautiful part of the country, occupying the premises of a beautiful period house, it is one of our best addresses in Val-David to break the fast food at a good price or to satisfy a sweet and greedy desire. In winter, it's a cozy place to come and enjoy a spicy chai, while in summer, its pretty terrace invites you to sit back and relax. The team cooks according to the seasons, with organic and local products, proposing a list of simple but very tasty dishes. Bonus: everything is home-made!

The ideal stop-off for a lunch break around the market. Chef Judith is the sole proprietor of this small take-away counter, which can also accommodate a few people on site. An advocate of local, zero-waste and organic food, she selects only high-quality products. It's one of the favorite addresses in Chinatown. The perfect place to enjoy the famous noodle and beef soup, a classic from Lan Zhou, a city in north-central China. A delicious broth prepared with love and enriched with beef blood, daikon slices, thinly sliced beef cooked in the broth and an egg marinated in curry, that's what you'll find in your bowl. A family business founded in 1969 by Conrad Morasse, its delicious fries attract crowds, as does its vast selection of creative poutines, including the 7e Ciel, in reference to the label founded by Abitibi rapper Anodajay, or the Double Porc BBQ with pulled pork, bacon and BBQ sauce.
