One of the best Tibetan restaurants in the city; the vegetable and cheese kothay is great! It is frequented by monks, locals and volunteers from NGOs working in McLeod Ganj. An interesting initiative: you can fill your empty water bottle for 5 Rs and thus reduce the impact of plastic bottles on the environment. This family-run establishment, which has been open for years, also offers decent rooms at affordable prices.

This restaurant, near the bridge, has a beautiful terrace overlooking the Manalsu River. A bakery offers breads, cakes and other home-made delicacies that make it the ideal place for breakfast. For lunch or dinner, you will have the choice between Indian specialties, continental, momo, pizzas and other burgers. The terrace is very pleasant, especially when it is not too cold! Friendly service.

This restaurant has a small terrace with a spectacular view of the Lakshman Jhula Bridge and the Trimbakeshwar Temple. It serves breakfasts, Indian dishes, pizzas, lasagne, burgers, falafel, hummus, momos... but also excellent fresh fruit juices. Most of the recipes are made with local organic products. An address where it is good to stroll while watching the comings and goings of passers-by on the bridge.

The kati roll is Bengal's specialty: a still hot parotha , an egg spread on it that is finishing its cooking, minced red onions, a pinch of chili, lemon juice, then the filling of your choice: paneer, chicken or mutton. You'll find them all over the city but they're probably the best here according to our local sources! It's hearty, the meat is tender and the roll is juicy. The classic egg chicken roll. Eating a Kati Roll standing in the street is a perilous exercise, watch your fingers!

What to say about this restaurant except that it is located in front of the Shree Krishna Janmasthan temple. It will be perfect to eat after the visit of the temple, especially if you had to make a long queue to reach the birthplace of Krishna. The big and flashy room with its powerful lights is air-conditioned, which is a real advantage on hot days. The unpretentious vegetarian cuisine is served here, and the menu is located exactly at the crossroads of India. It specifies: North India, South India and Punjab.

This restaurant, all brick and wood, is very cozy. The walls are covered with beautiful pictures of India, and the music, mainly from the seventies, is soft. You can choose to dine inside or in the garden. Quality food, sandwiches, pizzas, burgers, a choice of fresh fruit juices, real espresso... you will be spoilt for choice. The place regularly organizes concerts with quality musicians, which is rare enough to be mentioned.

Close to the fire station, this small café on the second floor run by the friendly Mohan is worth the trip. The place, simple and pleasant, proposes a rich menu. On the menu: soups, wraps, sandwiches, quiches but also Indian dishes, noodles, pasta, etc. We recommend the kathi rolls, excellent and copious. Also pastries, tea and a good coffee from the percolator. Warm welcome, view of the City Hall. This place is perfect to start the day, for lunch or for a gourmet break.

An institution in Rishikesh! This vegetarian restaurant is famous for its living mascot (we'll let you be surprised) which is enthroned at the entrance of each establishment. South Indian cuisine, North Indian cuisine, Chinese dishes, sandwiches... Three Chotiwala establishments in Rishikesh, two in Swargashram in the street that leads to Ram Jhula, and one in Mun-Ki-Reti that enjoys a nice view on the Parmarth Niketan ashram, located on the other side of the river, the Chotiwala By The Ganges, which is definitely our favorite establishment of the branch!

Four small stalls lined up, close to St. Paul's church in Landour, mainly frequented by students from the nearby Woodstock School. The food is simple, but the place is especially popular with travelers for its friendly atmosphere, the kindness of the shopkeepers and the great view. Sit on the terrace to enjoy the place. You can enjoy snacks(parotha, omelets, sandwiches, maggi noodles), sweet pancakes, and of course hot drinks (different kinds of tea and coffee).

This friendly establishment offers Tibetan specialties( porkmomos, mutton momos, vegetable momos, thugkpa, etc.) as well as Chinese and Thai dishes with great success. The red painted restaurant is spread over two floors and is located near the post office, you can't miss it! An excellent choice for lunch. Some cakes and desserts are also offered, including a very good lemon cheesecake. Feel free to leave your opinion on a paper napkin, as many customers have done before you.

A large room in the basement with several tables and surprisingly comfortable benches. This Indian-style fast-food restaurant serves mainly South Indian specialities: masala dosa, uttapam, iddly... But also burgers, grilled sandwiches, pizzas... The titles of the dishes can sometimes seem a bit simple compared to what is served. The place is particularly famous for its ice creams. To find it, take a left out of the Kutch museum. The restaurant is just behind the red temple on the square.

Located behind the São Tomé church, this restaurant run by an Indo-Portuguese family serves Portuguese cuisine with Indian influences, such as this cozido de peixe (fish stew) or this grilled fish with garlic potatoes. Everything is served under a pergola built in the garden, on nicely tablecloths and with pleasant music in the background. On the other hand, the menu is limited and only one brand of beer is offered, quite surprising in Diu! It's also a pity that the atmosphere is sometimes spoiled by the bad attitude of the owner...

To the right after the first gate of the fort, this café with a few tables serves snacks and cold drinks throughout the day. Located in one of the buildings of the palace, you will appreciate its courtyard shaded by a beautiful century-old tree. The rooms offered are out of the ordinary since they are located within the entrance gate of the fort! Air-conditioned, they are all charming and comfortable. If you can, ask for the Bee eater, a spacious room at the top of the gate with a nice terrace overlooking the city.

Large sober room dressed with backlit wood panels. On the wall near the entrance, a huge flat screen broadcasts the cricket or the news. The restaurant is famous for its dosa specialties (large pancake stuffed or not, from South India). But you will also find a very complete menu offering many vegetarian specialties, including some kebabs cooked in the tandoor. A finger bowl with hot water and lemon is presented at the end of the meal. The food is tasty and it's full every night. Very copious portions.

This Amritsar institution serves vegetarian food, mostly from the North, but also some southern specialties, such as dosas. Customers come here for the kulcha, a bread cake flavored with herbs and sprinkled with pomegranate, served for breakfast. The other offerings on the extensive menu are equally tempting, and the crowds in the restaurant's three large dining rooms are not deceiving. In season, don't miss the mango lassi. Modern and friendly atmosphere with a nice decoration (checkerboard floor, discreet and modern lighting, brick walls like a New York deli ). Varied menu, nice decoration, pleasant balcony and free wifi connection... It is the ideal place to take a break or to have a good breakfast! The establishment also has a coffee machine with percolator and serves a great espresso.

This flagship restaurant of Kolkata has several addresses in the city, this one is located at the corner of Esplanade on the^1st floor. In a small and not very welcoming room, they serve an authentic and modern Bengali cuisine. The mutton curries are particularly famous, but don't miss the fish specialties either.If the names don't ring a bell, try the Bhojohori Thala, a Bengali thali consisting of an assortment of vegetarian dishes, to be accompanied by a non-vegetarian main dish of your choice.

Located in a small recess before the Gesmo Restaurant, just in front of the Yak Tail Hotel. We would tend to hide this small canteen, and it would be a pity! The setting is ordinary but the food is delicious. Specialties cooked in the tandoor, chicken tikka, mutton, biryanis, vegetarian dishes, different kinds of naan... It's also a place to go if you like spicy Indian breakfasts... Friendly service. Besides, the locals are not mistaken, this small dhaba is often full!

The Beatrix was born in 1992. What was just a small fast food restaurant opened by Rupa Barwan in his garage quickly became a must-see place in the city. The elegant building is set back from the street. In a small, modern and pleasant room, they serve Indian dishes, Chinese noodles, very good burgers, vegetarian or not, sandwiches, a large variety of rolls... The restaurant of the Grand Haveli hotel is the best restaurant in Nawalgarh. Prefer Indian dishes, with a very interesting kebab menu offering a dozen different possibilities. The paneer zaffrani, the murgh muntaz are equally appetizing. On the other hand, the continental and Chinese dishes are not interesting. The service is impeccable. The beautiful dining room, lit by large chandeliers, overlooks the cenotaph. In the evening, the meal is served on the roof, to enjoy the catch and a nice view of the city.

If you're looking to treat yourself to dinner, check out the Radisson Blu Hotel, home to one of the city's best restaurants, The Great Kabab Factory. In a modern decor with shimmering colors is offered a unique menu that varies daily and is presented in buffet style. There are several stations to choose from, with excellent kababs being the most popular. The concept created by Radisson is a great success wherever it is established.

Here is a new establishment opened by a French woman, which is located very close to the central ghat, on the rooftop of Baba Guesthouse. The room is spacious and impeccable, with a superb view on the Ganges. Here the Indian specialties are particularly successful (delicious thali) and adapted to European palates. And for those who are homesick, we also offer pancakes, quiches lorraine, pasta, salads, and desserts to die for. Friendly atmosphere, discreet and pleasant music, games at disposal.

Self-proclaimed the "best dhaba in Amritsar", this small restaurant is located in a small alleyway just off the main shopping street. It is one of the only establishments in the area to offer both non-vegetarian (chicken, mutton, fish) and vegetarian cuisine. The tandoor-cooked specialties are all the rage, the mutton curries rich, the pranth lacchadar (local parothas) delicious and the fish dishes hearty. The room is not very welcoming, but the service is friendly and fast. A popular place to go.

This small establishment is popular with both local youth and tourists. Bohemian atmosphere, art exhibition on the first floor. On the second floor a covered terrace with a few tables and a pleasant open-air terrace in the evening. The whole place doesn't look like much but the welcome is very nice and the food is really good! On the menu thin-crust pizzas, pastas, momos, sandwiches, Indian dishes... You can also come and have a coffee. Also organizes photo tours of the city.

The restaurant on the terrace of this guesthouse offers a view on the city gate and the cuisine of the Agarwel family, owner of the place, is absolutely delicious. The kofta, with or without sauce, are the specialty of the place. We recommend the cheese kofta and the kashmiri kofta (potatoes, cheese, cashew nuts and grapes), both are a treat! Don't forget the Indian desserts like the kheer or the nan khatai, cookies which are the specialty of Fathepur. A good address for a meal or a snack!

Sam's Cafe is another mythical place of Pahar Ganj. If the dining room does not have any interest, everyone can take refuge on the roof and its terrace as a garden. With a fine selection of Italian, Israeli, Chinese and cooked meats in the tandoor, the chef knows how to attract tourist customers who are in the neighbourhood. Unfortunately, the result is not up to the map, and we've stayed on our hunger a little. Prefer to enjoy a fresh drink at the end of the day.

This grungy pocket restaurant is the best of the local canteen scene in Jaipur. No matter what time of day it is, you'll always find customers sitting down to indulge in a well-balanced thali. Not too hearty, not too fatty, it's just right. Alongside parathas and other rotis (bread), the restaurant serves some South Indian specialties like idli and dosa. This authentic address allows you to revise your culinary range at a low price. The address is so local that no English is spoken.

More elegant than Old Delhi's, the waiters' uniforms match the burgundy of the two rooms. Here, we recommend the chicken afghani, whose spicy note you will calm down with a cucumber raita or the spicy mutton with its subtle perfume. A warm, family atmosphere in the Silver Palace hotel restaurant (run by the same owners as the Imperial Palace). From the outside, the place doesn't look very appealing. Yet once inside, you discover a chic, elegant setting. The service is impeccable. The menu features world cuisine: Indian, of course, but also continental, Chinese and even Mexican. The dishes are well presented, and once you've tasted them, you won't be disappointed. Waiting times can be quite long, as this is a very popular establishment.

A cuisine at the confluence of the Mediterranean in India! A real favorite for this restaurant of the Taj Bengal hotel which offers specialties from Lebanon, Syria, Greece, Morocco, Egypt, Turkey and Iran. Oriental flavors to die for, especially if you want to vary the pleasures. For dessert we recommend you try the rose petal ice cream, a surprising flavor. The large open kitchen is also a spectacle. A friendly staff as in all hotels of the Taj chain.

Fancy a thali? Try this restaurant... or rather this regular canteen which is located on the street. It offers thali with local flavors at low prices. At first sight, the place doesn't look like much, but don't be fooled by appearances. You will have a king's meal here at an unbeatable price, far from the small cafés for tourists in the Blue City. On the other hand, the service is sometimes a bit slow and it is better not to have a train to catch. The restaurant is located in a lively area, between the Clock Tower and the train station.

Excellent café-restaurant, whose room looks like a tunnel, serving Mediterranean, Mexican and many other delicious dishes. Fish, chicken, pasta, pizza... it's quite expensive but it's good. If you just want to have a gourmet break, enter the bubble and let yourself be tempted by some cakes (shortbread, cookies, pistachio, almond, chocolate cakes...), they are delicious. With a cup of tea, it's even better. One in case of greed.
