CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL OF BELIZE
Read moreOriginally known as the Toledo Cocoa Festival, this event has become a national event since 2021. Held over a weekend in May, the event kicks off with a wine and chocolate evening, featuring cocktails made with chocolate and wines from Belize and beyond. Saturday is devoted to demonstrations of chocolate production practices and tasting, and throughout the weekend activities are organized to keep the kids entertained. An ideal opportunity to discover the south of the country.

Organized by the Monkey River Village, its main attractions are games that bring together small and large (bag races, three leg races, iron arms, speed competition for tasting watermelons and green lemons). The event also brings together dancers from Jankunu (Creole dance) from all over the country, eager to show their talent. In short, a festive and playful event to the family atmosphere.
