Crooked Creek is Belize's cashew-growing mecca, and its annual cashew festival is a real treat.
Mid-May is the peak of the harvesting season for the succulent cashew nut. That's when the village of Crooked Tree celebrates it every year with its famous Cashew Festival.(Cashew nut) In addition to the tasting of this delicious regional product, the village organizes punta music concerts, games for youngsters and the sale of Caribbean and Belizean dishes made mainly from cashew nuts.
