Abner Marin grew up in San Pedro and followed in the footsteps of his father, a renowned fishing guide, to open this structure specializing in fly fishing, light trolling and snorkeling in 1996. Go Fish Belize has become one of the island's most popular tour operators. In over 40 years of operation, this diving center has built up a solid reputation on the island. From first dives to excursions for experienced divers, there's something for everyone here. From sites close to Caye Caulker or further afield, two-day excursions with camping on the paradise island of Half Moon Caye are available: an unforgettable experience! And of course, the 3-day Great Blue Hole dive is a must.

Specialist in diving excursions, whether with mask and snorkel or bottle diving, Amigos del Mar is one of the most famous establishments on the island. The members of its team are very professional and well trained, and you can go to fabulous places to discover Belize's coral reef: nearby or more distant destinations such as the Blue Hole and Turneffe Atoll. Fishing trips are also organized.

Discovery Expeditions offers eco-tourism. Besides diving, this organization lets you discover all sorts of activities such as Tyrolean courses, Kayaking, and many others. If you don't have a dive patent, but still want to enjoy the beauty of the sea, then the Snuba is for you! You can dive about five metres deep with flexible tubas and admire the seabed.

Ragga sailing adventures' fleet is made up of several sailboats that can take you out every day to discover and fish in corners of paradise. In addition to classic excursions to Hol Chan Marin Reserve, around the barrier reef, you can take a three-day trip to Dangriga, snorkel in the reef's secluded spots and camp out on sumptuous Rendez-Vous Caye, Tobbacco Caye or even Ragga Caye, which belongs to them! For romantics, sunset cruises are also available.

The team, very attentive and safe, perfectly supervises the divers who are in maximum safety. The instructors are very didactic and interesting: professional and pleasant at the same time. From the center, many excursions are proposed on the Great Barrier Reef, in particular. You can dive with a tank or snorkel, but also learn all the Padi levels, with the possibility to have a lunch prepared every day to enjoy on the beach, facing the ocean. The equipment is efficient, maintained and disinfected. A real good plan.

The site owes its name to palm trees that grow on the surface. The wildlife is superb. In particular, there is a giant moray. There are many clown fish. The site is perfect for a night dive.

As its name suggests, the aquarium offers a dive extremely rich in underwater life: impressively large parrotfish, angelfish, boxfish, damselfish, butterflyfish and even a particularly friendly giant barracuda, a regular visitor for many years. A charming dive, where sandbanks follow one another between the walls of small canyons, and during which you'll probably have the chance to approach some peaceful but always impressive sharks.

This is a dive to be made for its varied and superb scenery: a bed of sand and seaweed (10 to 15 meters deep), first-rate coral formations, tunnels, canyons, as well as a vertiginous drop-off allowing you to descend much lower for the more experienced in search of a little narcosis. The area is distinguished by the unmistakable presence of large, multicolored tubular sponges, eagle rays and stingrays, tropical fish galore, as well as large groupers and barracudas.

Most divers have heard of the Elbow (just 10 minutes from Turneffe Island Lodge), a coral point jutting out into the ocean. This now-famous dive site offers a steep, sloping drop-off covered in tubular sponges and gorgonians, home to schools of snapper (sometimes in their hundreds) and other pelagic creatures. Currents sweep across the drop-off most of the time and generally come from the north. Occasionally, however, they reverse or cease altogether, offering tranquil diving.

Here's a store for fly-fishing enthusiasts. Jordan Griffith is THE specialist in this field. He makes lures of all types in his workshop and is one of the best advisers for those who want to try their hand at fishing in the area. A native of the area, he will guide you to the best spots and guides if you wish to venture further afield in search of bonefish, tarpon or jacks. No kill, of course.

The kingdom of sponges and corals.

It is in Secret Beach that you will find the small private beach where Christèle will propose you to rent original and comfortable floating beach mattresses as well as a small fleet of pedal boats. Some of these machines offer a very pleasant slide to jump into the water while having fun under the San Pedro sun. Aboard these boats, you can discover the west coast of Ambergris Caye, still wild and for a change of scenery in a few strokes of the pedals.

Here's an original activity in San Pedro: small donut-shaped boats, powered by a 9.9 HP engine and featuring a barbecue in the center. Accompanied by a local guide, you'll discover some of San Pedro's most unsuspected beaches, and you'll probably even take a trip to Treasure Island, a little piece of paradise in the lee of Ambergris Caye. On some days, the barbecue is replaced by a nice cooler to enjoy an aperitif while watching the sunset. A fun and original experience.

Bruno is a fanatic about exploring the wild corners of the district and the country. With him, we venture to archaeological areas (Uxbenka, Nim Li Punit) whose visits can be combined with cultural or natural attractions, such as little-visited caves (Yok Balum Cave, Tiger Cave, Gibnut Cave, Oke'Bal Ha) and waterfalls. Jungle expeditions lasting several days will delight the most intrepid, as will climbing the country's highest mountain.

For over fifteen years, the Garbutt brothers, Scully, Oliver and Eworth, have been guiding fishermen in the waters of Punta Gorda, east to Sapodilla Cayes and north to Placencia. Having worked for several lodges in the region, they now own their own fishing lodge, Garbutt's Fishing Lodge. A fishing-oriented operation with the best location in southern Belize. In addition to fishing, the Garbutt brothers offer snorkeling and diving.

Some Barton Creek tours include a stop here. And it's true that it's well worth it, as the 7-zip-line course is perfectly located high up in the canopy. Everything is perfectly safe: 2 cables, one of which is a safety cable, and a brake for a trip without thinking about how not to impale yourself on the next trunk. You can choose to combine this basic route with a longer one involving balancing on a cable and other such delights. Not to be missed, as much for the adrenalin as for the beauty of the site.

What more could you ask for than a well-equipped dive center in the heart of a dream reef? Destinations accessible to divers include sites close to the island, such as South Water Caye (also nearby), but also - and above all - the more remote Glover Atoll (just under an hour by boat), which is well worth a visit despite the high prices charged by dive centers to get there due to its remoteness. More technical dives include visits to underwater caves and drift dives along abyssal walls.
