BELIZEAN INDEPENDENCE DAY

Belize was declared independent on September 21, 1981. Every year, celebrations are held around this date. The whole month of September is a time of festivities, highlighting the patriotism of the citizens. Parades, carnivals, concerts, fireworks and other events are organized throughout the country. The night is reserved for dancing, so every Belizean is invited to dance the night away - and tourists too!
