When a man with a passion for life and good things decides to leave everything behind in France to start a new project in Quebec, the result is the exceptional bakery Chez Fred. Located in the beautiful district of Westmount, they lovingly make a multitude of breads for all tastes, pastries as decadent as they are delicious, and pastries to die for, all made using the best artisanal processes. On the salty side, quiches, sandwiches and pizzas are to be tasted on the spot or to take away. It promises to be a gourmet experience!

This little store's specialty? Ice cream sandwiches. And it's fair to say that they've mastered the art. Artisanal ice cream encased in two soft, homemade cookies: a delicacy that exudes North American flair. And then there are the flavors that are always on the menu, like sweet and sour (pretzel cookie, vanilla ice cream, caramel heart) or vegan blueberry chocolate. LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) is a provincial government corporation with a network of more than 680 locations across the province. It's the place to stock up on wines - including the famous ice wine - and spirits. It also offers beer, including imported and microbrewery products. Housed in the old north end train station, this is by far the largest and most interesting store in Toronto.

Raise The Root is a small organic market in the Leslieville neighbourhood. Angela and JJ, the two owners, run this healthy, gourmet haven to promote healthy eating and the products of local farmers and producers. Established in Laval two decades ago, this family farm is now in its ^9th generation of farming. We grow all kinds of fruit (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, tomatoes, etc.), vegetables (squash, peppers, cucumbers, etc.) and commercial grains (corn and soybeans). A specialist in the production of Riesling, Chardonnay and Cabernet for over 30 years, this renowned vineyard is one of the oldest grape varieties on the Niagara Peninsula. Whites, reds, rosés, sparkling wines and ice wines are part of his portfolio. The Bosc family welcomes you with great hospitality to their famous home. Since 1978, Paul Bosc has been developing one of the best sites for vine growing in Ontario. It produces fine wines and, in particular, superb domain wines. Château des Charmes is one of Canada's most renowned wine producers. Its success in national and international competitions testifies to the high quality of its wines. This magnificent castle is a real jewel of Niagara-on-the-Lake and absolutely worth a visit.

A unique public market awaits you in St. Jacobs. Hundreds of stalls sell local delicacies, furniture and home furnishings, woven, sewn and handmade textiles and clothing, and old-fashioned bellows and hammer forged items, all sold by Mennonite merchants for many. In the same area, you will find an antique market and outlets.

The name of the place already sets the tone: the big stars of this Turkish bakery are the simit (a kind of bagel very common in Turkey, Armenia and the Balkans) as well as the tea. Nadège Nourian and Morgan McHugh's patisserie is a temple of gourmandise. These two passionate people opened their first pastry shop in 2009 on Queen West. Since then, Nadège has expanded to other locations in Bloor-Annex, Rosedale and the PATH underground network downtown. These locations offer delicious French viennoiseries, decadent pastries, macaroons and chocolates, and all sorts of other treats. Start your day with a buttery croissant and an espresso.

This cooperative in the village of Jordan Station produces semi-farm artisan cheeses. After several years of preparation, the master cheesemaker launched Niagara cheeses, produced with the rich, creamy milk of Guernsey cows. Comfort Cream is similar to Camembert and Niagara Gold is rich and tasty. A great place to do some gourmet shopping, especially since the store is full of other products from the region.

Installed since May 2023 on the same premises as its sister microbrewery Ô Quai des Brasseurs, Distillerie du Quai is now a stone's throw from the river. Stepping into the store, you wonder whether you're in a music store or a distillery, given the posters of musicians, the guitar and the audio equipment that make up the decor. A place for music enthusiasts, it is above all dedicated to the creation of spirits, bitters, fruit drinks, etc., available both in the boutique and in SAQ outlets.

Interpretation centre on the life of bee and honey. During the visit, you will see an animated film on the subject, bees in a glass hive and a jardin flower garden. A small honey tasting is also the program. On-site: gift shop of the hive products (soaps, body milk, honey sweets, etc.), terrace, small farm, playground for children.

An artisanal herbalist who shares her secrets for better, healthier living. All herbs are grown naturally, then dried and processed directly on site. Products include seasonings (Cajun, sea and earth, basil mustard, sea parsley salt, etc.), flavored lobster oil and flavored extra virgin olive oils (island sea parsley, shallots and herbs, etc.). Another seasonal boutique in La Grave.

Don't leave the Islands without tasting the famous bagosse, the "beer of the Islands" as the locals call it, available in two flavours (strawberry and raspberry, cranberry and dandelion). It is a very popular artisanal fruit wine. Other products for sale on site: a port-like drink made from blueberries and cranberries (Châlin), a raspberry liqueur (Ariel) and a sparkling strawberry and rhubarb wine (Le Moussaillon). Each of Le Barbocheux's products evokes the history and traditions of the Magdalen Islands in its own way.

This little bakery in Kensington Market has a pink decor and makes delicious products, all 100% vegan and gluten and nut free. You'll find all kinds of sweet treats: cupcakes, muffins, brownies, cookies, scones, cakes (including delicious vegan cheesecakes), etc., and of course bread. You can even shop online and have everything delivered to your home. Bunner's has another location in Toronto, located in The Junction.

One of the best addresses to discover the donuts, as they are called here. Josie Weitzenbauer, founder and pastry chef, makes them in all colours and with a thousand flavours: lemon-lavender, Boston cream, rose water and almonds, lime and coconut... To give free rein to her creativity, this is the challenge of this friendly company which also offers pastry workshops. For those in a hurry, assortments of six or twelve doughnuts are available to take away, in the pretty bright pink boxes in the house!

This store may not be very big, but the good aromas of the cheeses make up for it. The house specialty here is undoubtedly cheese in all its variations. As the region's first micro-distillery, it puts the terroir in the bottle as it draws on local resources to create its spirits. Opening in the summer of 2019 in Old Limoilou, this distillery is frankly unique. First, because it incorporates the history of the surrounding area (the distillery is located halfway between the site of the Iroquois village of Stadacona and the place where Jacques Cartier settled), and second, because it decided to create an on-site escape game, which is a prelude to the guided tour. In terms of products, three gins with local flavors as well as a Nordic Pale Ale, alcoholic ready-to-drink and an aronia liqueur. To be discovered!

Owned by the Cistercian monks who occupy this abbey, this store is their main source of income. This family-run vineyard produces several quality wines, including Brut Nature sparkling wine, Insula fortified wine (whisky-mutated grape must aged in American oak barrels for 3 to 10 years), Réserve du Bout de l'île white (lees stirred in oak barrels for 8 months) and Saison Terrasse rosé. The vineyard also produces cider, and in recent years the family has ventured into distillation, producing a brandy similar to grappa in Italy. Housed in a residence over 200 years old, this boutique will charm you with its chocolate fragrances. The quality raw materials come from Belgium, and the chocolate factory transforms them into excellent products that are distributed to local businesses or sold on site. The truffles are a must (we've tried every flavor), and the sorbets and homemade ice creams are also worth a detour. A must for all gourmets!

This small bakery prepares only delicacies, all homemade and made from organic flours, without chemicals, additives or improvers. Breads of all kinds, tasty pastries and cakes (the brioches are a killer!) line the shelves. To complete your picnic, fine Quebec cheeses and rillettes, pâtés and other such products are available for sale on site. Bonus: tasty ice creams to cool down in summer!

Although now housed in a contemporary-style building, it is the city's oldest market, founded in 1837 in the heart of Hamilton. More than 50 small, independent vendors and artisans have made it their home, selling local specialties as well as flavours from around the world, on both floors of the market. Welcome to the gourmet temple of Sophie Marion! Here, chocolate products are processed from A to Z in the tradition of Belgian artisans, and the result is more than tasty. Brett & Sauvage is the brainchild of Francis Joncas, best known for co-founding the Pit Caribou microbrewery. However, the spirit of brewing is completely different here, with the place devoted entirely to spontaneous fermentation. The yeasts and lactic acid bacteria naturally present in the air seed the wort as it cools in the "coolship", before the beers and ciders are aged in oak barrels for one to three years. The result: exceptional products to be enjoyed without moderation!

For over 30 years, this family-run business has been promoting boreal gastronomy. Wild plants and mushrooms are at the heart of the matter, all hand-picked and processed in the traditional way. The result is a wide range of products, from wild groceries to body care. You can also take part in workshops in the forest, such as one on wild plant gathering or wild plant medicine. Bonus: Gourmet Sauvage runs a café just a few steps from the boutique.

For over 25 years, this artisan bakery has been delighting locals and visitors alike. The perfect place to start the day or refuel for a picnic in the national park, it offers loaves, baguettes, viennoiseries and other delicious products (mention should be made of the homemade pizzas). Dalla Rose welcomes visitors looking for a refreshing and gourmet break, after a stroll in the Saint-Henri district and perhaps before strolling along the Lachine Canal? The original flavors rotate very regularly, to the delight of the district's regulars. The character of the place has of course been preserved, right down to the graveyard next door. To drink, nectars concocted from local Quebec products, including its flagship product, Les Herbes Folles, a gin made with herbs and wild flowers from the Gaspé Peninsula. The elixirs are not only available on site, but can also be enjoyed indoors or out in front of the church.

Located just a stone's throw from Pizza d'la Pointe, Hélène Arseneau's pastry shop is a haven of deliciousness. Everything is homemade and absolutely delicious. Among the most popular products, let's mention the chocolate eclairs (a must!), the cannelés, the little pots of chocolate cream, the carrot cakes, the sugar doughnuts, the famous chocolate and caramel cookies, the macaroons, the scones and the list goes on. A gourmet break just the way we like it!
