YOUVILLE'S MOTHER'S HOUSE

Site of archaeology crafts and science and technology
4/5
1 review

CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR WORK, Youville's Mother House is no longer available to the public. The walls of 1693, the time adjustments and the halls of the permanent exhibition "Walking in its Steps" trace the history of the Charon Brothers and Marguerite of Youville, founder of the Congregation of the Gray Sisters. The visit of this "Maison de Charity", inhabited by the Mother of Youville and the Gray Sisters in 1747, is provided by the religious. The furniture at the time remained intact. The whole life of this "house" has been reconstituted. Visits are free, but donations are always welcome, especially since these exceptional women continue to help the most disadvantaged. We also owe them Accueil Bonneau.

Also take advantage of the interpretation centre of the traditional Champagne method (free entrance). The gourmets will opt for the Champagne visit, which includes six products accompanied by tasty local delicacies. Another package includes, for example, the visit of the vineyard and fields of Blue Lavender with a meal with local flavours.
