One of our absolute favorites! Welcomed at the entrance by an XXL statue of Ganesh, the famous Hindu god with an elephant's head, we are immediately telescoped to the country of a thousand scents, Sri Lanka! The room, with its original decoration, contributes to the change of scenery. As for the cuisine, it is simply divine: each dish is an invitation to travel, subtly blending spices and tradition. The biryani, curry, and tandoori are all delicious. The naans are cooked in large amphorae, straight from Asia. A great address!

In an idyllic setting, facing the coast of Dominica and the raging sea, this small restaurant at the end of the world invites you to relax and escape. Hang around and enjoy the waves and the calm. Note that it offers good local home cooking, simple but fresh, served with a smile. The menu is presented with humor. The fish comes from the local fisherman. The dishes are generous: chicken colombo, fried snapper, mouth-watering Creole plate, sweet potato flan. We especially like the blood sausage and the accras.

In the heart of the chic Didier district, Sushi Torii and its fusion cuisine combine Japanese inspirations and West Indian flavors. Come and try the inevitable sushi, maki, sahimi, seaweed, poke bowls, temaki and other tempura, but also original creations: hot sushi (cheddar, naruto), cold sushi (rolls…) and original 100% Paii dishes: the Torii Bokay (tuna or marlin and flambéed banana) and the Torii boat (a combination of different sushi). It's fresh, it's good, and it's a change from the traditional chicken colombo!

In the heart of Fort-de-France, Fanfan revives 100% local cuisine inspired by her grandmother's recipes. The menu is authentic, based on fresh produce. It evolves with the seasons: lambi gratin, sea urchin supreme, fish court-bouillon, giraumon flan, not forgetting cod ti-nain... Suggestions include soups (vegan, earth, sea) on Thursdays, grilled lambi on Fridays, mechoui (lamb, suckling pig) on Saturdays. Tasty cuisine with a hint of spice. A charming setting, an air-conditioned room under a beautiful glass roof.

Board immediately for Brazil at the Favela. This colorful and friendly restaurant offers a breathtaking view of the bay of Fort-de-France, but above all serves a typical Brazilian cuisine. Try the famous feijoada, served with black beans and pork, or the muqueca, shrimps and fish simmered in coconut milk. Meat-lovers will be tempted by the delicious grilled meats (entrecôte, prime rib) and fish lovers by the catch of the day. Tempting cocktail menu. We love it!

New to Le Robert: Kalinago is a small restaurant on the boulevard alongside the harbour, offering a culinary journey to the heart of the Caribbean. You'll enjoy specialties from Jamaica, the Lesser Antilles, Dominica and Haiti. Try the grilled sliced lambi with Djon Djon rice, or the fried sea bream steaks with lentil dombrés and christophine gratin. All homemade with fresh, local produce. A great place for a quick bite. A new restaurant in a container? The idea may seem surprising, but the place is absolutely charming and friendly. The service is adorable, sometimes a little slow but always attentive. As for the cuisine, it's just like the place: surprising, tasty, colorful and original. The two chefs, one Indian and the other Filipino, create dishes tinged with exoticism: samoussas, nems, tandoori or vindaloo chicken, sausage rougail, mafé... Everything is homemade, even the ice creams! Karaoke evenings and brunches are regularly organized.

Feel like Al Capone for an evening? That's the idea behind this brand-new, highly original restaurant on the Quai de Sainte-Luce, decorated entirely on the theme of the Neapolitan mafia. To find it, go to the very end of the quay. The dishes feature Italian-Creole flavors: lobster and crab lasagne, lobster or truffle pasta, authentic Italian tiramisu... The welcome is just as warm, and the view of the Sainte-Luce boats is sublime.

At Anse Caffard, this "ti' resto" makes hearty, generous wood-fired artisan pizzas. All are named after the ^7th art: Les Bronzés font du ski (raclette), Les Ch'tis (with maroilles), Le^5e élément (choice of 5 ingredients), Harry Potter (salmon), Pirates of the Caribbean... You can also enjoy burgers, tuna mi-cuit, wood-roasted cockerel and desserts on the covered, well-ventilated terrace... Everything is homemade, with fresh produce. Charles & Albert has opened its Urban Slow Food temple in the Didier district. Here, priority is given to local products and short circuits. You're welcomed into a cosy setting for breakfast, with pastries and brunches (special mention for the 100% pure-butter cinnamon apple!). For lunch, it's tartine, quiche of the day or salad. But above all, you'll want to try the desserts, each one more gourmet than the last: pavlova, fresh fruit tart, mango-cassis entremets... Try the homemade spread - it's delicious!

Immediate boarding for the Italian Riviera with this new restaurant located in Champigny's commercial zone. The surroundings aren't very charming, but the journey will quickly make you forget the decor. You'll be transported to Italy with genuine specialties from traditional Italian cuisine: Neapolitan pizzas, fresh pasta (carbonara, homemade pesto...), antipasti (crispy burrata, bruschetta), desserts (tiramisu, panna cotta and pizzatella) and wines straight from the Italian peninsula.

Lise has taken over the former Marley's, with its superb sea-facing terrace. This bar-restaurant-lounge offers top-quality Creole cuisine: a large Creole plate, fish or chicken colombo, crispy shrimp, stuffed crab, fierce avocado, grilled ouassous... But the star here is the lobster. A lobster menu is available, as is another with lambi (in season). Special mention for the catch of the day. Smiling welcome.

An original concept: freshly arrived in Martinique, Stéphane Rétif, Michelin-starred chef since 2005 for his restaurant Le d'Antan Sancerrois in Bourges, has just launched his own restaurant combining haute gastronomy with the exoticism of Martinique's terroir. He offers a unique, surprise menu, which of course takes into account your tastes and contraindications. His leitmotiv: to create a fusion cuisine of the moment. And it works! It's all in the title! The credo of this newcomer to Diamant: "kaza" cuisine, translated as "homemade"! And indeed, in this restaurant that mixes traditional bistronomic specialties with Creole flavors, great importance is attached to the choice of local, fresh produce, cooked on site. A wide choice of poke bowls, burgers and daily fish tartars. The desserts are just like the dishes: homemade and delicious! All served with a smile and good humor. Nestled in the enchanting setting of Anse Figuier, with a breathtaking view of the Caribbean Sea, this new beach restaurant offers fine, well-prepared and seasoned cuisine. On the menu: mini-tacos (chicken, shrimp or beef), langoustines flambéed in rum, marlin tartare with citrus fruits, fish return deglazed with dog sauce, lambi langouste signature burger with maracudja sauce. Desserts are just as delicious. The plates are composed like works of art. The cocktails are to die for!

Nathanaël Ducteil has set up his restaurant in the Comptoir des Viandes boutique, where you can sample the talented Martiniquan chef's revisited specialties: lambis hot-dog, local pork (côte boucanée, kumquat confit, sweet potato, peanut) or clam-crusted bass fillet with lentil cream. On the sweet side, special mention goes to the sweet potato, a moelleux with aged rum, or the rice with coconut milk, "nannan coco" sorbet, rice tuile and crumble. There are only 15 places, so book ahead!

In the heart of the Creole village, under the magnificent XXL shade cloth, the legendary Malibu has changed ownership to become West Indies Kfé. The menu features classic cocktails and original creations with a Caribbean twist, including the Blue Lagoon, Madras Frozen and many others. On the food side, you'll enjoy simple fare: crêpes, accras, tapas, burgers, tuna tartare... A pleasant place for a gourmet stop-off after a day at the beach, an impromptu aperitif or a meal with friends.

On the beach at Coin du Carbet, the Flamingo Beach Bar unfurls its idyllic setting. Here, you can enjoy home-cooked cuisine, sip a cocktail at aperitif time, or laze on a deckchair overlooking the sea. You'll find the classics: marlin tartare or steak, accras, balaous, burger... but also the less classic: salted nanas (a dish served in a pineapple). The desserts are delicious (ice creams, waffles...). The welcome is smiling, and the service rather efficient (risk of waiting on weekends). Regularly organized evenings and brunches.

You'll also be tempted by skewers of chicken with pineapple, shrimp or seafood (lambi, fish, shrimp), accompanied by peyi vegetables, crudités, French fries or purée, or fricassee of chatrou. The presentation of the dishes is particularly refined and the plates are generous. There's also a good choice of salads (fisherman's or Creole). A smiling welcome.
