The Saladan Seafood is a great success, with its own lobster farm, which you can choose before your meal, served on the large terrace on a pontoon with a beautiful view of Lanta Noi. The cooks are from the Chao Ley people, and they will know how to bring you to a boil: the products are fresh and the cooking is perfect. Located near the Ping River, this small restaurant is famous for its buffalo steaks. Set in a house with a wooden terrace, it offers a pleasant setting. Having said that, the atmosphere is rather calm.

In this cultural centre you can enjoy the culinary specialities of Lanna, in front of a show, a musical fresco composed of a sequence of traditional dances. It's very touristy, but really interesting. This reconstructed village is located to the southwest and outside the old town, and offers a nice show that has been around for over thirty years now! This small establishment doesn't look like much, but it serves delicious food. It is a Thai restaurant located on the beach of Bang Po, specializing in seafood. It is frequented as much by tourists as by locals, which is a guarantee of quality. Wooden tables and chairs are placed on the sand, where you can sit in the shade in the open room. It's excellent and the rates are very low.

Namaste! Run by a Nepalese, Om Ganesh offers average quality Indian cuisine, a little too oily, with curries that are a little bland and naans that are more like pizzas. However, prices are very low, there are special menus for groups, and the menu is an alternative to the local establishments. The welcome is pleasant and the service attentive. The room on the second floor seems ideal for dinner.

The establishment is known for its excellent grilled meats (beef, lamb, pork, chicken) and good pizzas. You will also find on the menu typical Belgian dishes and fondue bourguignonne, as well as many small dishes (salads, hamburgers, sandwiches, paninis and Thai cuisine). Quality products and low prices guaranteed. And to quench your thirst, a selection of Belgian beers to sip in moderation!

Installed on stilts, the "People of the Sea" restaurant is of course specialized in fish and shellfish. Good local reputation... The atmosphere is closer to that of a canteen than a big restaurant. Beautiful terrace overlooking the beach. The fish is cooked to perfection. The large number of customers suggests that the products are very fresh, which is very positive. On the other hand, we noticed a certain carelessness concerning the service on certain evenings. It's a pity that the prices are a bit prohibitive.

The establishment is open day and night to satisfy the demand, which is great as you can attest! A very good address that doesn't look like much, which you will appreciate all the more if you go there at the end of the night.

A convenient address in the north of the village, on the road to Chalok Baan Kao. Thai restaurant offering appetizing family cuisine. Green papaya salad (som tam), curries, sandwiches... The choice is vast. There are also good breakfast options. A typical wooden place. Floor prices are another factor in the success of Yang Thai Food. The service is rather fast and very friendly. A bit hard to find, but it would be a shame to miss one of Koh Tao's best shots.

Indian cuisine, yes, but authentic and with à la carte dishes rarely found in this category. Try the Malabar Coast specialties of fish and shrimp in sauce, chicken Madras or the Goan classic, chicken vindaloo. Nan, roti, basmati rice to accompany your dishes. Special mention for iced masala chai, the famous Indian spiced tea in an iced version. Recommended.

On the menu: Vintage (with mushrooms), Classic, Pink Cheesy (beet and mozzarella bun), Vegan, Normandie (Paris ham and camembert)... Also salads, hummus, nachos... It's hard to imagine Wasabi as a chain restaurant, so elegant, hushed and pleasant is the setting. A large screen shows images of underwater life and the place is lulled by soft lounge music. On the menu, a wide assortment of sushi, maki, uramaki and sashimi... All are carefully prepared, and some are quite original... Bentos are also available for lunch. A wide choice of teas, wines, beers, sake and cocktails. The prices may be high, but the ingredients are of excellent quality. Recommended.

This resort has a very popular restaurant on the island which offers very honest prices. On the menu are local and international specialities, as well as a fish and seafood stall to choose from. The bar section stays open until late. Musician during dinner then another group takes over at the bar on the left side of the restaurant. The latter also deserves a visit for a drink. Broadcasting of sporting events on demand, mainly English Premier League matches.

The setting is fairly basic, but the service is prompt and smiling. The company has 2 street locations. It also offers Indian cooking classes, where you can choose to learn how to concoct 2 vegetarian and 2 non-vegetarian menus.

Close to the lake, just behind the Central Samui, this small local color market has become an alternative to the Chaweng Night Market which is not as active as before. At the end of the afternoon, there are different food stalls serving Thai snacks, grilled food, fish and seafood, fruit juice stalls and some trinkets. It is quite good and it allows to eat at a lower price. Be careful about the freshness of some products in some stands, especially those offering sushi.

The Rocky's Boutique Resort restaurant is Lamai's gastronomic address par excellence. Here you can enjoy delicious modern French cuisine at not-so-prohibitive prices, all things considered. Hokkaido scallops are sublime, just like Rossini beef or sea bream... Not to mention the desserts, all very tempting. Excellent cocktails. The setting is classic luxury, the atmosphere is chic and friendly, and there is even a cabaret every Sunday. Reservation recommended.

Italian restaurant opened in 2008 by two Italians, Marco and Tony. All the traditional dishes: ravioli, gnocchi, milanesa, or lasagne on the menu, all prepared on the premises, and of course a large choice of pizzas cooked over a wood fire. Some Thai specialties as well. Don't forget to save some space for the desserts! The room is welcoming with its wooden furniture and a small terrace where you can watch the comings and goings of passers-by. The same team recently opened a branch of the restaurant in Thong Sala.
