For more than 50 years, it has welcomed within its walls a whole generation of hikers, mountaineers, skiers and travellers who love the Camprodon Valley. Continuing the legacy of its founders, Sidro and Ventureta, the Vila-Badosa family offers excellent meats from the valley made a la brasa de carbó (charcoal brazier) and traditional recipes adapted to today's cuisine, using fresh seasonal produce (hunting, spring vegetables, autumn mushrooms). As its name suggests, this little address hidden away in a pedestrian alleyway specialises in brunches and breakfasts based on fresh, home-made products. Very cute setting, reasonable prices, we're not afraid to say it, it's one of the best addresses on the island for a sweet and sour breakfast.
CAN FORN
Read moreIn a warm rustic decor all in wood, you will taste a generous traditional cuisine. Propeller fan, old photos on the walls, craftsman's tools... A real little tavern! Country salad, mussels in marinara, squid with squid ink, octopus salad (very tender), conill amb ceba (rabbit)... The restaurant is also known for its excellent fresh fish (the owner has won several fishing competitions!). Don't forget the desserts, they are to die for! A must, in our opinion.
CAN LOCA
Read moreA table run by Italians, on the Es Pujols promenade. Can Loca spreads out its large terrace (nicely illuminated in the evening) facing the Big Blue. Iodized meal with the sound of the waves. Unpretentious cuisine (clams, fried calamari, mussels, scampi, Catalan-style lobster, seafood carpaccios, grilled fish or copious paellas to share...) in a romantic setting. To conclude: a good address to eat fish and seafood. Very good quality-price ratio. Friendly service.

You'll find salads of goat's cheese, smoked cod or anchovies from El Port de la Selva. The gambas are also local and the desserts homemade. With the Sant Pere de Rodes menu, the welcome glass of cava will invite itself to your table.
CAFÈ DEL CENTRE
Read moreBeautiful and spacious space inside but also large terrace for beautiful days: This café of the centre is a little the rallying point for many inhabitants of Peralada. Its bias, prepare traditional Catalan cuisine rooted in seasonal and close products. Some dishes are transmitted from generation to generation as the pick of cod to muslin or rabbit to artichokes. Do not hesitate to test the dish of the day and in the dessert book for the homemade cake in cheese. A bar shall the smallest bite with its sandwich cohort, black or white sausage, à or anchovies… Little indiscretion, the Michelin stars in the surrounding area have often been for.

In the summer months, you can enjoy fresh and healthy lunches served on the terrace overlooking a pretty, lively square. A sure value.
L'ANTIC DE LA PLAÇA
Read moreJust a step away from the monastery, this bar-restaurant seduces with its small terrace and its modern and ultra neat interior decoration. Here, it is the quality that is important, not the quantity. So don't be surprised if at lunch time you find only one dish on the menu, it's normal, because everything is home-made! The vegetables are particularly honored. Also some tapas to share, and very good desserts, very aesthetic moreover. The service is nice, we would stay there for many hours to taste all the cakes...

Also on the menu are garlic shrimps, squid and local cheese with its mojo. Good value for money and pleasant service.
