The name is intriguing... The restaurant's managers will be happy to explain that it's the first name of Saint-Martin and means "the island of women". Close to Front Street and Sint Rose Arcade, it's ideal for a break after a shopping spree. The cuisine features fish products such as mahi-mahi and tuna tartars. Pizzas, salads, tapas, French specialties and an excellent menu of burgers certified "100% Angus Beef". Numerous theme evenings announced on the Facebook page.

The best view on the marina because the panorama is 360°! The place is colorful and offers a classic French cuisine with various suggestions depending on the arrival. The menu also offers a large choice of pizzas, daily specials, giant cocktails. The prices are correct, especially for the formulas. The team is always as friendly and attentive and has been following its customers for 30 years. One of the great advantages of this restaurant is that it is open on Sundays for those who do not prefer the beach.

All over the world, the poke bowl - a Hawaiian dish presented in a bowl and composed of rice, vegetables, crudités, fresh fruit and marinated raw fish served in cubes - continues to gain fans. La Kaz à Poke, which opened in August 2022 in place of the former Burger 12, opposite the Fort-Louis marina, has made it its specialty. The concept? You customize the chef's recipes (fish, chicken, beef or shrimp) by choosing your base (rice, quinoa or salad). A bowl of fresh flavors, to eat in or take away!

This restaurant in the Port Royale Marina has been a staple in Marigot for years. In the dining room, Nadège, well known by the regulars, offers one of the friendliest welcomes in the area. The menu is varied and offers a selection of tasty traditional dishes and a careful presentation. The chef Emmanuel has a divine art for working with quality products with numerous salads, fish and meats. Remember to save a place for one of the desserts because they are really worth it. Always very copious and delicious!

Originally located in Marigot, Chay's Thaï has, over the past few years, taken up residence in Mont Vernon. This relocation has not altered its status as one of the island's best Thai restaurants. The cuisine, simple and subtle, is always tasty and the spices, herbs and aromatics always perfectly balanced. A warm welcome. You can order takeaway or eat on the terrace. It's so delicious and cosy, you'd almost forget you're next door to the Leader Price parking lot. Special mention for the bò bún.

Often, when a restaurant offers too many different dishes, we go backwards. Here, on the contrary, you can go in with your eyes closed. Vegetarian friends, this is the place for you. What's more, you'll feel like you've been transported all the way to Jamaica. Meeting Ras Bushman, the man behind the place, is a moment you won't regret. Freedom Fighters ital Shack means you'll be eating only organic and natural food. The ingredients used to prepare all the juices and dishes are of the day and come from the garden. Rasta spirit guaranteed.

Adjacent to the Marina Fort Louis, the Yacht Club is a must for all cruisers and yachtsmen. The restaurant, which features Italian specialties, boasts a large terrace overlooking the sea, with a view of the boats, of course. Everyone knows Zee Best and for good reason it is the HQ to enjoy a thematic breakfast in the morning. You will be welcomed by a very beautiful Canadian accent in a family atmosphere. We appreciate all breakfast formulas (homemade pastries, omelettes, pancakes...) with a preference for the "Almond French Croissant" which will surprise you with its originality (a kind of pudding made with almond crescent). For lunch, the menu consists of quiches, soups, omelettes, salads, sandwiches...

L'Oasis is a haven for locals and a sure bet for tourists, who are warmly welcomed by Nelly and Hubert. In the kitchen, Greg and Sylvain are keen to pass on their passion for cooking: from fresh local fish to prime rib, pizzas and French classics like beef bourguignon. Let yourself be tempted by one of the desserts, all homemade, and the baba au rhum is a must. Bonus? Musical afterwork on Thursdays and concerts every first Saturday of the month.

The sign had hitherto not been represented on the French side while the Dutch part had 3 Mc Do. It has now been done since the end of 2014.

Since 1978, Rosemary has been working hard to introduce Creole specialties to tourists and locals alike at her restaurant, which is the oldest in the lolos. The atmosphere is relaxed and colorful, thanks to the madras tablecloths. A specialist in lambi fricassee, she also prepares local fish(mahi-mahi, snapper...) very well, either fried or grilled, which she buys from the fishermen at the nearby market. As for breakfast, you should try the boiled green banana.

It's a little slice of Mexico in the heart of Jordan Village, above Mullet Bay and a stone's throw from the American Medical University. Here, you can enjoy tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, chile relleno, nachos and tortas. Everything is homemade, delicious and very reasonably priced. You order at the counter and can sit out on the terrace or take away. The staff are very friendly, and you can communicate in English or Spanish. Try the Birria Grilled Cheese Sandwich. It's not exactly light, but who cares!

La Perle Bleue is located at the very end of the boardwalk, away from the noisiest bars on the Philipsburg waterfront. With tables on the beach of the capital of Sint-Maarten, it is the perfect address for lunch between two shopping sessions or for an aperitif after spending the afternoon on the beach. As for the cuisine, good quality Creole specialties (wings, ribs, grilled fish...) and a few French specialties, but rather intended for American customers. La Perle Bleue also has another establishment in Cole Bay.

Near the American University of Medicine, in the Jordan district above Mullet, this very Italian address is a treat for fresh pasta lovers. Spaghetti, fettuccine and homemade gnocchi dance in your choice of traditional tomato sauce or chicken Alfredo sauce. The simplicity and generosity of the dishes explain the success of this small neighborhood address, frequented by regulars. The atmosphere is very cosy, and you can choose to enjoy your meal on one of the white banquettes or take it to go.

Grand-Case's lolos are renowned for their generous plates and consistent produce. Sky's the Limit, on the street side, is always busy with locals, some of whom prefer to take away. On the premises, opt for the hearty mixed plates: green salad, tomato rice, spaghetti, coleslaw, plantain, and barbecued chicken, ribs or fish. In the open air, you're likely to get a little smoke in the wind, but it's a typical place to try. It's also a good opportunity to try Johnny Cake.

Opened by a Frenchman near the American University campus, this Thai restaurant offers authentic and refined cuisine. The chef tries to cook as much as possible with local and seasonal products. But he also prepares some imported specialties, like Sua leung reina pepiada: thin strips of beef marinated and grilled to perfection, or Kaï yang, fried chicken flavored with lemongrass! The terrace is very pleasant after dark, to enjoy the cool night air.

A veritable institution, Marigot's "lolos", or local restaurants, line the waterfront in prefabs converted after their buildings were destroyed by Irma. Offering a pizza with a thick and crispy dough is Mama Pizza's expertise. Here you can enjoy the sunny terrace with friends and enjoy the view of the Oyster Pond marina. The colours are reminiscent of Italian trattorias and the flavours mix Mediterranean herbs and local ingredients. You won't know what to choose among the specialities on offer here, such as aubergine pizza, "daddy's" pasta, smooth homemade lasagna. A beautiful moment of Italian dolce vita!

Aux mets tissés is an open secret. Sure, it's tucked away in a corner of Hope Estate's ZI, but it's so famous that it's always busy, and won^1st prize in its category at the 2022 Gastronomy Festival. Opened in 2020 in the brand-new Take Off Center, the restaurant excels at combining the best of both worlds: traditional French cuisine and Caribbean flavors, using fresh, local produce. The menu changes daily according to arrivals and the chef's inspiration.

The place is very popular with Americans. On the menu: burger-fries, Italian cuisine, stuffed crabs, shrimps, Thermidor lobster (with onions, mushrooms and parmesan gratin), all rotisserie dishes... but also sushi! Live concerts (reggae, jazz, blues, soul) are organized regularly. You can also melt in front of a brown rum crème brûlée. A room with billiards, arcade games and darts belongs to the same owner.

A restaurant with local flavors, famous for its Saturday night parties! On the menu: Creole cuisine(ribs, accras, lambis, Creole plates, grilled fish... and the famous grilled lobster to order). This is the typical restaurant in this part of the island. Hercule, the owner, is a character whose welcome and humor you won't forget. He always has an anecdote to share. He claims to serve the best rum in the house, and offers it to you at the end of your meal. More than a good address, it's the assurance of a good evening.

Korean restaurants are rare on the island, but this one is a sure bet. Opened in the aftermath of Irma, this Bellevue-based establishment is an invitation to get away from it all. The delicacy of the specialties, the friendly approach of the owners and the flexibility of ordering immediately won over the locals. The dishes are healthy and hearty, and the Asian touch is always subtle and appealing. The makis and fried chicken are a real treat. A delight to be savored takeaway or delivered. Very reasonable prices.

Fred, François and the whole Captain Frenchy team welcome you every day, toes in the sand, on Grand-Case Bay. A must for a relaxing day in the shade of an umbrella, lounging comfortably on a deckchair (or on the terrace deck) and enjoying delicious lunches and dinners with the sea as your only horizon. You can also enjoy a cocktail, especially at sunset. It's also the place to party, with the famous Sunday beach party and Thursday karaoke evenings.

An adorable couple welcomes you in simplicity and guarantees you to spend a delicious moment. The sushi and sashimi are made up to the minute to keep them fresh and tasty. The Happy Dragon and Salmon Sushis are to die for. Copious, tasty, aesthetic, the sushis are served with a great kindness. This address is really Yumi ("delicious" in English) and deserves that you settle down on their terrace on the street side. For a desire of hot dishes, the dumplings are crispy and filled with small crunchy vegetables.

Le Java is the latest addition to Grande-Case, opening in spring 2022 in place of Barranco. Completely renovated and very elegant, the large terrace overlooking is naturally ventilated. Le Java has perhaps one of the best views of Grande-Case beach: at sunset, the panorama is breathtaking. In the kitchen, Mediterranean specialties are revisited with brio by the chef: scallops seared to perfection, melting roast octopus, vegetarian risotto, etc. Service is efficient and friendly.

This is the latest restaurant to open on Friar's Bay beach, between the other two. Located in the middle of the beach, 978 Beach Lounge offers deckchairs in the shade of large umbrellas, and a large terrace next to the restaurant if the sun is too strong. The restaurant serves simple, hearty dishes (grilled meats, fish, daily specials) as well as tapas. Many cocktails to discover. Ideal for sunset.
