Launched on February 6, 2004, the Pelican is the first French-language daily newspaper on the island of Saint-Martin! Readers will find all the general information, as well as local news. This local newspaper offers many good deals for travelers: parties, new restaurants, promotional offers... For those who stay longer on the island, it regularly informs its readers about the local community life. Le Pélican is the smallest circulation in France, with 1,000 copies per day.

If you rent a car in St. Maarten, be prepared to spend some time in traffic jams, especially in high season. But to pass the time, you can listen to St. Martin's flagship radio station, 101.5 FM, which is located in Marigot. The radio broadcasts mainly local news programs, in English and French. Their Facebook page is currently very useful, with many videos that summarize the island's news

Estelle, a journalist, and Angélique, a computer graphics designer, founded and then launched Soualigapost in 2016, a generalist news site on Saint-Martin and Sint Maarten. Launched at the end of 2021, Focus magazine's mission is to showcase art and culture on Saint-Martin and Sint Maarten. In addition to presenting the island's artists in the form of portraits or interviews, the editorial team lists all cultural events in a diary, so you can find out about concerts, exhibitions, shows, festivals... taking place in both parts of the island during your stay.
