White sandy beach and crystalline water in this natural jewel. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in the eastern part of the island. There are increasing numbers of warungs to watch tourists.

They are very fresh, from the mountain to the heart of the village. You can take advantage of this during the big heat in the small complex planned for this purpose. The springs flow in pools and then sink into the sea. The basins are very clean and transparent water.

You can also enjoy a lunch or a drink in the warung which is inside the complex, the dishes are typically Indonesian (so spicy) because the population of the place is mostly local. You may cross a handful of tourists.

We can go to the beach, even if the algae culture can make the walk somewhat complicated. But rather snorkeling and diving, including Crystal Beach or Toyapakeh, near the Quicksilver platform, are interesting activities.

As you walk along this nauseating canal, you come across an old Dutch drawbridge, such as you'll find all over the Netherlands. The beautiful Kota station, in the same district, was built in 1929 by the Art Deco architect F.J.L. Ghijsels. A few old Dutch houses remain on the quays along the Kali Besar canal, the city's oldest (^17th century). Most of the buildings have fallen into disrepair, but the Toko Merah (Red Store) has been beautifully restored. It was one of the residences of Governor General Van Imhoff (1705-1750).
