Located in Munnar, Kerala, India, Kanan Devan Hills Plantations Company (P) Limited Sales Outlet is a must for tea lovers. With a history dating back to British colonial times, this company is the largest employee-owned tea company in the world. The store offers a wide range of black and flavored teas to suit all tastes. You can also find special products such as classic green tea with rose or premium black tea with rose. In addition to tea sales, KDHP also has other activities, such as bungalow management and the production of natural extracts.

Dedicated to Shiva, it is located in the heart of the city. Built in the 14th century, it is one of the oldest temples in Kozhikode. This temple has a particular link with the cultural history of Kerala because it was the meeting point of poets and philosophers.

The museum opened its doors in 1991 and its name pays tribute to Bangur Juar, a personality from Pali. It exhibits a varied but rich collection of traditional clothing, coins and weapons. It includes 6 different sections: prehistoric period, archaeological section, numismatics, painting, weapons and armour, crafts and tribal art. This last section highlights in particular the Garasiya tribe, still present today between Udaipur and northern Gujarat.

The Thangasseri lighthouse offers a breathtaking view of the coast from the top of its 41 meters. Built in 1902, it was recently equipped with an elevator which allows people with reduced mobility to visit it, but be aware that there is still a last floor to walk up to its summit

The presence of a fort above the village of Achalgarh dates back to the Paramara dynasty that ruled Rajasthan from the 9th to the 14th century. The structure still visible dates from the mid-15th century, but not much of it remains. The two entrance gates, Hanuman Pol and Champa Pol, are still standing. The creamy white temple, located within the fort and seemingly hugging the hilltop, is dedicated to Shiva. Other Jain temples, in less good condition, can also be seen, including one dating from 1513.

Local families often go for a walk on Sundays... Several animals can be found on the site: felines, monkeys, hippos, snakes, birds... The cages are small and the show is rather difficult to see. Small museums don't offer much either

These falls, which are more like rapids, are worth a look, but they are much less impressive than those of Athirapally. We therefore advise you to start the visit with these.

Without doubt one of the most interesting tea factories to visit. This tea factory has been in operation for more than a century. The guided tour is interesting to learn more about the different tea processing processes. A small museum briefly tells the story of the plantations in Munnar through some photographs and period objects. You can also visit the plantation with a tasting. And why not take the opportunity to bring back a personalized souvenir, namely a tea made by you?

A stele was placed at the place where Tipu Sultan died on May 4, 1799. During the Fourth Mysore War, the British besieged the city of Srirangapatna. They managed to create a breach in the wall along the Cauvery River. Having heard of this breach, Tipu Sultan went to the scene to fight. He died of a bullet in this place and the kingdom of Mysore fell permanently into the hands of the British on this occasion.
