SHREE NAKODA JAIN TEMPLE

This temple, mentioned in writings as early as the 3rd century, is an important place of Jain pilgrimage. It is famous throughout India and attracts followers of other religions, especially for its idol representing Parshvanath. The statue, 58 cm high and sitting in the lotus position, is supposed to have miraculous powers. It is also said that whoever comes to the Nakoda temple will have their wishes fulfilled. The temple has been modified, enlarged, remodeled, repaired, rebuilt through the centuries and the work continues to this day.
