Quiet and elegant, this hotel is very well located just steps from Analakely and the good addresses of Isoraka. The rooms, comfortable (with air conditioning), have a certain character. Charming colonial-style hotel, confined to the heights of the old town. Distinguished rooms, but not necessarily very spacious (some are tiny and too cold in winter, prefer the larger and sunnier superior rooms), a small English garden with cypress trees pruned into balls, with a nice view of the city. The hotel's restaurant, under a green veranda, has long offered quality cuisine but was closed during our last visit. Professionalism of the reception and the service. Beautiful little cottages aligned with each other and delivering a superb view over the lake and the volcanic landscape. Simple but sufficient comfort (private health, hot water). Good fish-based restaurant (tilapia). All sorts of activities at a very low price in an exceptional setting. 

Catering service (6 000 Ar a huge dish). Shower in the bucket. The site is beautiful, in a beautiful tropical garden by the sea. The staff were friendly.

Rustic but rather well kept together. Good food. Philippe de Papavelo Mada Trekking installed a space for surfers, with 7 boards, 4 body boards, portes board and other equipment. A good spot to rest and/or take surf lessons.

Created in the 1920s to launch the tobacco market in the region, the Menabe hotel is a family business that works. The warm colors are privileged. Spread over the second floor, the rooms, made of hardwood or wood, have an undeniable charm, offer a beautiful view of the village life and are all well equipped. Denise Johary, manager of the place and excellent cook, honors the products of the sea and the river. A traditional pizza oven should also delight pizza lovers.

Buildings of character and refined setting, although a little outdated (but the whole exudes a certain charm). We have the impression of being in the countryside (rice fields just in front). Rest assured by the large and beautiful swimming pool that refreshes during the hot weather.

Good value for money. The rooms, decorated with wood, are well kept and warm, albeit dark. Good restaurant. Direct access to the beach. Quick star to go fishing, bivouac in the surrounding villages, observe whales in season (July to September) and win Belo-sur-mer (3 h 30 by calm sea).

Recently renovated, the Renala is run by Jean-Marie, who is also president of the Regional Tourist Office and Honorary Consul of France. Created more than 30 years ago by Jean-Marie's parents, the hotel has kept its superb wooden structure. 13 bungalows and 4 rooms, all air-conditioned and with terrace, but also a powerful wifi and sanitary facilities. Direct access to the beach and secure parking, pleasant restaurant and swimming pool. Activities and organized excursions. Quality address with family welcome and ecological sensitivity. We like it !

In the middle of the reserve and an Olympian calm, here is a charming structure to stay as close as possible to nature. The choice is between (ventilated) bungalows and more recent and luxurious rooms, which offer optimal comfort with lounge, air conditioning and Italian shower. What a joy to fall asleep to the sound of lemurs and sometimes to see them on the terrace when they wake up. Plan to spend at least one night in the reserve, an unforgettable experience, in the heart of an amazing and preserved nature.

Located just behind the church, "Chez Gaspard" is run by a very friendly Portuguese priest. Several clean bungalows are hidden in a beautiful green garden dotted with fruit trees and aromatic plants. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, on order, and offers a mixed and rather good cuisine. These two structures have been well established for a long time. The whole is comfortable and impeccable, admittedly a little impersonal, but it avoids bad surprises. Good restaurants on site.
