Opened in 2011 in the university district by Eusèbe Jaojoby, the greatest living Malagasy artist, with the help of almost all his family, his two daughters Charline and Fatoma Eusebia in the lead. Since 1969, it has been THE reference casino in the city, with the largest fleet of slot machines in the capital, plus gaming tables, a VIP gaming area and a private poker room. The intimate layout of the different areas and the well thought-out, plush decoration create an immediately enveloping atmosphere. Relatively recent (2018) and still very beautiful, it has several comfortable rooms and a cinema-cafe. The programming is of quality. You can consult the well updated website to know the news and the latest movies. The Food Court at Tana Water Front also offers food and drink. The ideal place for movie lovers and for those who want to take a break from the hectic Tana.

L'étincelle is a bar-club in Diego that fills up quickly on weekends. Very good atmosphere from 11pm, where the place often turns into a disco until the end of the night! A must-see spot in Diego's nightlife. In addition to the classic cocktails and alcohols, they also offer snacks. Giant screen for sports events. Good to know, the owner, Manesh Boguy, also organizes excursions in the area. Don't hesitate to ask him for good tips. He puts all his heart into it.

A veritable institution for night owls. The atmosphere is electric at the end of the evening, very local and good-natured, and you often come out at daybreak, realizing just how quickly time flies in Diego! The owner, Monsieur Pichon, also runs the New Bar just around the corner, on Rue Colbert. The New Bar doubles as a before andafter bar, as well as a nice place to enjoy lobster on the terrace at lunchtime. All in all, it's a great place to eat, at very reasonable prices. We recommend these two addresses!

The Institut is a "key player in the artistic, cultural and intellectual life of the Malagasy capital": live performances, cinema, visual arts, conferences and debates are all on the program. There's also an attractive media library, where you can discover French-language literature. A terrace adjoining the media library lets you spend a quiet moment outside, leafing through magazines. Annual closure in August.

Opened in late 2012, a small night bar with electric atmosphere, hosted by Stephanie, Weeman, Texina and Arthur. There is a lot of world.

Jean le Rasta attracts its share of night owls to its small tropical corner. According to many, the Oasis is one of the best restaurants in the city. Lively atmosphere, a little Rastafari and hippie of course, with reggae music, arranged rums and peace pipes in the background! The restaurant is very cheap and correct. We can also recommend its few rustic bungalows for small budgets: simple but sufficient. In short, a good plan!

"La Buta Stupa Outcool" was originally a cybercafé that was transformed over the years into a real café/snack bar, before being taken over and completely renovated by its Italian owner. It is now always good to gather there with friends to chat at the aperitif time. The atmosphere is now nice, like a bistro, with very appreciated Italian specialities. Concerts, thematic after-works and exhibitions are regularly organized there. A nice evolution for this unusual place!

A small local institution. Made hotel, cabaret, casino and also restaurant (romazava and Chinese dishes among others). A very lively atmosphere with noisy groups and a good number of young and available "moth butterflies", quivering to the sound of tsapiky, salegy, kilalaky or mangaliba... Hot in front of Fridays and Saturday nights! The Sunday evening cabaret is a reference. Families should abstain a priori.

The big ex-Shakira hangar has changed name and managers. Two spaces now, with first a Lounge of 200^m2 for a coffee or tea break, and a book space. Permanent exhibitions and afterworks planned with tapas. Smoking terrace. On the discotheque side, 500^m2 dedicated to sound and dance, with afternoon openings for young people, with the aim of creating a cultural dynamic for Majunga which is in great need of it (dance school, slam...). Special evenings for the broadcasting of great sports competitions, for the amateurs!

A private club with a jazzy atmosphere above all, but not only. We enter through a small back door, it's a very Prohibition era! Themed evenings are reserved for a small elite with a well-stocked portfolio: 10,000 per can of beer, 25,000 per can of Gin Tonic and 600,000 per bottle of Champagne! This once quieter bar has now turned into a real club and is no longer just a pre-box meeting place: people dance, drink and laugh until the end of the night! Let's face it, the flowers of the night are sometimes much more numerous here than the clubbers. And since the place is rather confined, we dance tightly together. Marco (now supported by Dominique) is full of ideas for special evenings, cocktails of the day, etc. Warm atmosphere every evening, even during the week. Downstairs, we serve pizzas and snacks that fit well.

Since its opening in 2018, Taxi Be has become a reference of the nightlife in Tana. Young and old, from all walks of life, like to meet there to party until the end of the night! Karaoke space, snack & pizza space, premium space, clubbing space,... the place lends itself to all desires and all profiles. As for animations and events, Sundays, retro atmosphere, Thursdays it's the tropical appointment, and at the end of the week, concerts and DJ Set... In short, a great atmosphere and a place that is often full!

At the gates of Isoraka in the Quartier district, rue facing the Central Hotel (stay vigilant in the evening around the box). An old address like the world but no longer attracts the same clientele today. The atmosphere is both ugly and very hot, and very enterprising girls (if not shameless). Electro-magnetic meeting (by finance of course) on the menu.

La Vahinée is an institution for the early evening in Diego-Suarez: the concerts (saxophone, jazz, salegy and even deep into the bush, 50s/60s...) draw crowds who then finish the evening at the nearby Taxi Be. You can eat here all day long, in continuous service, and the menu includes traditional steak frites, grilled fish and beef tongue in hot sauce. Nota Bene: concerts are now held two or three times a week. A good address that mixes tourists and residents.

The Nono box has been rather aged in recent years, but the faithful do not go, and there is always the world. Many Chinese and young ladies in search of well-stuffed portfolios.

Since September 2021, this downtown bar-brewery has replaced William Kid's. Vazahas atmosphere, billiards, karaoke, rock concerts and 70/80s parties. It's also a meeting point for watching sports matches over a beer. On the plate: kebabs, crêpes and pizzas. On the premises, you'll find the 501 rental agency (quad, motorcycle and car).
