LA FERME DU GRAND PRÉ

Poultry

Amélie and Guillaume created a 4 hectare farm, 3 hectares of which are dedicated to the animals. In the open air, all year round whatever the weather, the animals are 3,000 from January to July and from August until the holidays we increase to 4,500 birds to meet demand. Capons, Label guinea fowls, poulardes, chickens, will be offered to you at prices from the breeder to the consumers, in short circuit. Only one slaughter per week, of which a third is cut up. An ethical farm that does good to the local landscape!

LE GALLINACÉE

Poultry

Gallinacée is very pleased to offer you delicious fatty livers, high quality duck and poultry, kid, game, rabbit, fresh eggs and cooking products, which you will be telling us about news. We have tasted roasts fowl - to fall on the ground! -the roasts of breasts filled - to damn a saint! and we re-examine it. Frankly, try Le Gallinacée is to adopt it. Of course, the formula makes a bit of a cliché, but if everything is not perfect (we are not always fans of sausages for example and prices can be a little high), most products are good, even excellent and archi-fresh. A very good address to the Halles, which only serves AOC meat, Red Label or Organic label.

FERME ROUSSEL-VOISARD

Poultry

In the hamlet of Lamare, the "Gauloise blanche" has won many trophies, including the "Glorieuses de Bresse". Her farmer Rachel can be proud of it. Since 2003, she has specialised in the only bird to benefit from an AOC-AOP. Chickens, hens and capons gambol peacefully in a peaceful and secluded environment. One third of their food is found in the 8 hectares of grass, supplemented by wheat and corn without GMO that our poultry farmer cultivates. A guided tour, by reservation, and Rachel's valuable cooking tips will complete your visit.

At the Rosette des Prés, quality is the main priority. The products offered by Monsieur Chouc come from the Fenioux pig farm: the animals are reared in the open air, in full compliance with the Bleu Blanc Coeur Label specifications, with pigs fed on cereals, vegetable proteins and linseed which promote the intake of omega 3. The pork meats are made in the traditional way, in the respect of the cooking of the pig of yesteryear (stewed). Seven sales outlets are available under the L'heure du marché brand.

You will also find seasonal game. If you need some advice on preparation and cooking times, don't miss the kindness of the shopkeepers, who are happy to share their know-how and tips, even if it is crowded at certain times of the week. LE COQ HARDI

This boutique was created in May 2011 by the Maison house, a poultry slaughterhouse in Montrevel-en-Bresse since 1919. Le, Le Coq Hardy offers raw preparations that can only be cooked at home, such as paupiettes or blue cords, but also terrine. Here les, poulardes and other chickens of Bresse are kings. But the hotel also sells a few fine grocery stores, wines and olive oil.

AU POULET DE BRESSE

Poultry

The successors of Pierre Desjardin, who created this business some sixty years ago, continue the activity in the same direction. The origins of the poultry have not changed: the ducks come from Challans and the chickens from Bresse or the Landes; the rabbits were raised in the Gâtinais. The delicatessen and butcher's departments complete the offer: lamb from Lozère, milk-fed veal from Corrèze with the red label, beef from Aquitaine... All of this is "beautiful linen"! With its slightly retro frontage, this store cannot be missed in the shopping street of Belles-Feuilles. A much appreciated address, if we judge by the queue, on Sunday morning, for a grilled chicken.

DANIEL MARCON

Poultry

At Marcon, everything is good. The rime is poor, but the saying'hallier'is not idle, and Daniel Marcon has taken on the flambeau of an already meticulous daddy. Regions of great tradition of poultry farming find their place in this small outlet: Bresse, Landes. But even without this origin, Marcon guarantees an open-air poultry farming, which is fed to grain, which is already a guarantee of quality. Pigeons, quails and fowls complete the range of volatiles. At the charcuteries radius (to be tasted absolutely!), five raw hams offer a trip from Parma to Catalonia. A failing under any pretext: boudin and liver-fat. Or, as a summer pleasure, lemon chicken chicken. A delight.
