The water tower was built in 1865 to collect the waters of the Auron, supervised by engineer Bourdaloue. A competition was organized to select the architect of the imposing fountain located in: it is Albert Tissandier's project - bricks and stones, and paying tribute to the classical architecture of the early eighteenth century - which was chosen. Pierre Patout (1879-1965), a French architect, close to the international style inspired himself in his constructions of the liners he had built, influencing the liner style of a generation. Property of sculptor Joseph Bernard from 1921. The artist's workshop was built by architect Charles Hackle, and furniture by the cabinetmaker Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann. The house and workshop retain certain stages of the work of Joseph Bernard; presentation of works in the house and workshop (casting, watercolours, bronze editions…).
