House considered one of the emblematic works of architecture

Built in 1954, the Jean Prouvé house is considered one of the emblematic works of 20th century architecture. Indeed, Jean Prouvé is a great figure of Art Nouveau and the Nancy School. Its position on the heights of the city makes it difficult to access. However, the workshop and garden can be visited freely or on a guided tour, even during the summer. The house and the office of the Ateliers have been classified as historical monuments since 1987, three years after the death of their founder.

Super chouette, la maison... si on peut la voir! Le site est reputé ouvert tous les samedis en ete, jusqu'à 18h, sans obligation de faire partie d'un groupe. Impossible en realite d'entrer sans faire partie d'un groupe. Il est 16h45! Et question accessibilité, surtout passez votre chemin si vous etes vieux, vieille, handicapé, femme enceinte, ou avec enfants en bas âge ! C'edt vrai qu'à l'ére d'internet, faire un effort de communication cr n'est pas donne a tout le monde. Quel scandale ! communication ,

Eigentlich ein tolles Haus von einem großartigen Architekten/ Konstrukteur. Aber leider in einem absolut ungepflegten Zustand. Die Führung in französich habe ich nicht verstanden, aber nach Auskunft des Begleiters, wenn ich richtig verstanden habe, ist das Haus im Eigentum der Stadt Nancy und im Besitz eines Architekten, der ein Fan von Jean Prouve ist. Dieser hat sein Grümpel im Haus abgestellt und ist anscheinend schon lange nicht mehr anwesend gewesen. Ich denke, diese Lösung ist keine gute Lösung. Das Haus sollte als Museum betrieben werden, allerdings müßte man dann einiges an Geld investiert werden. Dies sollte der Stadt Nancy aber etwas wert sein. Es ist eine Schande, solch eine Ikone der modernen Architektur so runterkommen zu lassen. Und eigentlich gar nicht typisch für Frankreich, das so viel Wert auf Kultur und Ästhetik wert legt. Aber vielleicht ändert sich ja bald etwas.
