A true architectural gem, the Salle Sthrau has undergone many changes. Built in the 17th century, it was first the chapel of the Jesuit College, then became a ballroom, stable and museum. Destroyed during the First World War, it was rebuilt by the Lafitte brothers in an Art Deco style, and now hosts dance and music shows. Closed for years for security reasons, it reopened in 2018 to become a major cultural venue. It offers a wide range of exhibitions and events throughout the year.

Une belle restauration architecturale
L'exposition installée ne nous a pas permis d'appréhender la salle dans sa globalité mais heureusement la guide de l'office de tourisme a su nous transporter

У 1914 році будівля, в якій розміщувалися музей, бібліотека та музична кімната, була значною мірою зруйнована німецьким бомбардуванням.
У 1925 році архітектор Анрі Лафітт взявся за завдання перебудувати та вдосконалити будівлю, від якої залишилися лише стіни.
Через два роки публіка з подивом виявила банкетний зал у стилі ар-деко, організований на двох рівнях: музична кімната і бальний зал під розкішним скляним дахом нагорі.
