LA GRANDE PARADE DES PILOTES
Read moreA large-scale show... Not to be confused with the "Pesage", a more technical event. The "Grande Parade" has a very heroic feel to it, presenting the first protagonists of the legendary 24-hourendurance race. At previous editions, we were able to get up close to champions with impressive track records. Tom Christensen, for example, is still the stuff of dreams, with seven victories to his name. Specialists such as Henri Pescarolo, Graham Hill and Mario Andretti have also previously taken part. More recently, Jacques Villeneuve, Sébastien Bourdais and Sébastien Loeb took part in the exhibition. There's something exciting about being able to get up close and personal with all these people. A standing ovation is given at every turn. The parade also celebrates three drivers in particular, who are presented with a trophy: the one who takes pole position in qualifying, the one who achieves the best lap time and the inevitable "Rookie", i.e. the competitor discovering the Le Mans scene for the very first time. This event is truly unique. Jubilant effects in store!
HATTERIES
Read moreCaussade is a hat-making city. It is therefore hardly surprising to see the city placed every year under the sign of the hat! The festival takes place in July and pays tribute to the hat in all its forms. Milliners gather on this occasion to show their know-how. Hat exhibitions are also organized to give everyone the desire to buy a hat. Do not miss the competition and musical evenings that participate in the event. An appointment that has become over the years, a must in Occitania!
FÊTES DE LA SAINT-NICOLAS
Read moreSaint Nicolas is a sacred day. Saint Nicolas, the patron saint of Lorraine, is deeply rooted in the history and traditions of the region. It is a bit like Christmas before its time, as he goes round the schools to congratulate the good children by offering them gingerbread and chocolates, and the town is in celebration for ten days. Street shows, animations, workshops, concerts, theatre, Christmas markets, tastings of local products, artists' exhibitions... And the highlight: a magnificent parade of floats, created by Nancy and its agglomeration.
FÊTE DES FLEURS
Read moreA real popular festival at Cayeux-sur-Mer in the bay of the Somme. Adorned with a multitude of gladioli (nearly 9,000!) and multicoloured dahlias, the town becomes an even more lively place for a day. On the programme: parade of floats decorated with flowers by the associations, competition for the most beautiful float, musical entertainment in the afternoon at the city's kiosk and open-air disco in the evening on Boulevard du Général Sizaire, with a splendid fireworks display as a final bouquet. Every year, the public is present in large numbers in the streets of the city.
ARMADA DE ROUEN
Read moreStarted in 1989 with the Voiles de la Liberté, it is indeed the major event in Rouen, so major that it is only organised at intervals of several years. After celebrating its thirtieth anniversary in 2019 by welcoming around fifty of the world's largest sailing ships - with their crews in uniform - and other exceptional warships, the next edition will take place in 2023. For around ten days, the banks of the Seine will vibrate to the rhythm of the parades of sailors and boats. On the programme, visits to the ships, the raising of the Flaubert Bridge, fireworks, and concerts, which will delight the hundreds of thousands of spectators expected from the four corners of the world.

It is a very beautiful party that recalls that the Pays de la Loire is among the five departments of historical Brittany. Access is free for all weekend animations.
EMBOUTEILLAGE N7 LAPALISSE

During this vintage weekend, enthusiasts from all over France and even Europe gather in the village of Lapalisse. CHATEAU DE SULLY
Read moreDuring each school vacation period, the castle of Sully is transformed into a fairy tale world and amazes children with its show trips. The actor Thomas Volatier is reincarnated as a colorful character and gives life to the different rooms of the castle during an imaginary story: "Sully Carnavalesque", "Sully en Sucre", "Sully joue sa comédie" or "Frissons À Sully" will punctuate the year 2023. Adults are not left out since in summer and for Halloween, shows are dedicated to them! Let's go for it as a family.

GAY PRIDE
Read moreThe event has been held for over 30 years, and ritually takes place at the start of summer, forming a long parade of festivities and demands that stretches from the right bank to the left bank. Although there was some doubt about the date (too close for some to the start of the Olympics), the authorities confirmed that, as every year, the Pride March would be held at the end of June. Floats on which dozens of revellers wiggle and waggle, broadcasting sounds, often electric, behind which tens of thousands of people dance.
FORUM DES GÉANTS DU NORD
Read moreThe Giant is a giant construction - originally made of wicker - representing a character, but above all it is an emblematic figure of Northern France! The Giants of the North appeared when the region was part of the Spanish Netherlands. They were paraded during religious processions, but today, there are all kinds of Giants of the North, each with their own name and history, and many cities in the North and in Belgium have them. If you want to have a closer look at this tradition, the Forum des Géants du Nord (which replaces the Giant Weekend) in Tourcoing is ideal because it will allow you to see dozens of giants in all their splendor.
