Started in 1989 with the Voiles de la Liberté, it is indeed the major event in Rouen, so major that it is only organised at intervals of several years. After celebrating its thirtieth anniversary in 2019 by welcoming around fifty of the world’s largest sailing ships - with their crews in uniform - and other exceptional warships, the next edition will take place in 2023. For around ten days, the banks of the Seine will vibrate to the rhythm of the parades of sailors and boats. On the programme, visits to the ships, the raising of the Flaubert Bridge, fireworks, and concerts, which will delight the hundreds of thousands of spectators expected from the four corners of the world.

A faire au moins 1 fois
Peur de la foule s'abstenir ! Pour visite les bateaux il faut plusieurs jours car le temps d'attente est très long et certains bateaux n'ouvrent leur pont que l'après-midi d'autre le matin...Le top du top pour ne rien rater télécharger l'application dédiée ARY. Reste que le spectacle est au rendez-vous.

Ce fut ma "énième" armada.... et je ne m'en lasse pas. Vivement la prochaine ! Un bémol : les cabines commerciales trop nombreuses...mais tant de voiliers, concerts, animations, etc, le tout gratuuit pour le public, c'est assez exceptionnel.

Événement majeur à Rouen qui a lieu tous les 5-6 ans. A ne pas rater. Foule immense, il est préférable de venir en semaine. Visite des navires, défilé des marins, grande parade sur le Seine le dernier jour.

Ce n'est pas un événement de Rouen. C'est L'évenement de Rouen. Celui qu'il ne faut rater sous aucun prétexte. La ville est en fête. À faire absolument !
