Every year, hundreds of ewes of the caussenarde breed pass through from Rocamadour to Luzech in the Lot valley.

Every year, hundreds of ewes of the caussenarde breed - an endemic breed of the Lot - transit from Rocamadour to Luzech in the Lot valley. Land owners and ewe breeders work together to reopen scrubland areas: it is a means of fighting fires. The Ministry of Culture has recognised Transhumance as intangible cultural heritage, a great recognition for shepherds all over France.
