Music and entertainment bar

Jambon-piperade specialities: Basque specialities are cooked up here, and if the Aviron Bayonnais are to meet the Stade Français, we promise you that the atmosphere will be warm! The stadium's fans have long been accustomed to eating and snacking while watching the matches, or as they attack the third half. The terrace here is spacious and rare in this part of the capital, ideal for fine weather. Finally, on Thursdays, come and enjoy the aperitif from 7pm to 2am. It's the kind of friendly address we love!

The borough has some great initiatives, more and more numerous. And this Golden Age, let's face it, bears its name well: it is a wonderfully vintage associative place, where you can settle down for a drink or a meal, and many other things. For here, debates are organized, most often around "culture and pleasure", workshops are open to all, literary cafés are set up, in short, a whole life is organized around this place, now well known in the south-east of the capital. The goal posted here : "stimulate the senses, knowledge and encounters". The bet is taken, and largely kept - we love it.

Le Cancalais is an institution in the Solidor district that has been around for over 30 years. The terrace, facing southwest, offers a superb view and it is pleasant to savor the moment. In front of you, the Solidor cove and at high tide, the sea spreads out at your feet and makes the experience marine and solar. A real place of meeting and conviviality, the tables get bigger as the evening goes by: the atmosphere is joyful and the place is well filled. Cheeses, charcuterie, homemade salmon rillettes as an aperitif or a main course are also offered.

At aperitif time, the Zinc Authentique is a rather nice address for those who like to have a drink with friends and share some nibbles at the counter. At the slightest ray of sunshine, the two terraces are crowded, especially the one at the back of the establishment, because it is flowered and shaded. As a wine bar, the wine list gives pride of place to local wines and champagnes. The beer selection is not bad either! To liven up the place, theme evenings and concerts are regularly scheduled.

La Cour's strong point? Well... its courtyard, of course! Sheltered and planted, it's a real haven of tranquillity! The rest of the place, which also serves as a restaurant and weekend brunch, also stands out from the hustle and bustle of the noisier bars on Rue Saint-Laud. The clientele? Mostly thirty-somethings and forty-somethings, who come to enjoy an afterwork in a tastefully decorated setting, with a discreet musical backdrop. The menu features a dozen draught beers, plus an honest selection of wines and cocktails.

It's one of the most flamboyant symbols of Montmartre and Paris, world-famous and in existence since 1889! Formerly known as "Les bals du Moulin Rouge", they quickly became very popular, and were at the origin of the notoriety of the French cancan. Today, the "Féerie" revue is performed by 40 female dancers and 20 male dancers. You can choose to attend the show, or opt for the dinner-and-show package - the one we recommend. For a long time, Parisian Sabine Couder had a dream: when she retired, she'd leave Paris and welcome gourmets and cultural enthusiasts in an atypical location. Both a literary café and a restaurant, you'll enjoy organic and essentially local produce. But let's not forget the attractive delicatessen section. And regular events, often featuring international artists. A favorite.

Tours-sur-Loire has become a summer must for tourists and Tourangeaux. This ephemeral bar installed at the water's edge expands from season to season. From May to September, three spaces are installed on the quays: the "historical" guinguette, west of the Wilson bridge, with its concerts and various animations. On the east side of the bridge, Chez Dupont offers a retro and calm atmosphere. On the other side of the bridge, the Beach, where calm and nature reign supreme. It's Mulhouse's party headquarters! It's eclectic, hip, mixed and psycho-rock'n'roll. Regulars make themselves at home in the games room or over a tarte flambée. At the bar, beers flow freely, the wine list is tempting and the mojitos never stop flowing. It's always full, and the evening events are top-notch: a few concerts, but many themed evenings, such as one of the best blind tests in France, or the transistor evenings, to our great delight!

DON CAMILO

This cabaret has spent its 50th anniversary in style. We appreciated Thierry le Luron, Laurent Gerra, Laurent Ruquier, Michel Leeb, Enrico Macias, Pierre Perret and many others, including André Aubert, a whimsical man who remained famous for his imitations of Fernandel - Don Patillo... Songwriters and singers are therefore at home here and invite you to long, relaxed evenings in their company, with play leaders such as Pierre Douglas, Olivier Lejeune, Yves Pujol, Sylvain Collaro and many others. As far as the restaurant part is concerned, Don Camilo tempts you with dishes such as: homemade fresh duck foie gras, piece of beef roasted with perigourdine, leg of lamb roasted with thyme flower, salmon roasted with white butter and garnished with gratin dauphinois and small vegetables, Norwegian omelette..

LE BOMMEL BAR

Pub
2.7/5
3 reviews

If you ask a Dunkirk inhabitant where to go for a drink in a nice place, he will direct you to the well named "rue de la Soif" and more precisely to Le Bommel, a very famous (but not only) beer bar. You can't miss it with its ten or so (Belgian) beer signs on its façade. The menu is also impressive: 14 draught beers, a wide choice of bottled beers, but also rum-based cocktails. The original decoration, with its heterogeneous objects, its hanging hop vines, its flags and beer napkins on the ceiling, its woodwork, has not moved despite the change of ownership. The establishment has a strong identity and on Friday and Saturday evenings, it's buzzing! This is what makes its charm. There are people of all ages, sailors on port calls, workers on the move, English people who often find a pub spirit in this place. The establishment regularly organises events and concerts, but people come here mainly to mingle, to chat all night long... listening to good big rock music, having a good time on Les Lacs du Connemara, and dancing to Dalida music. Le Bommel is just great!

OLYMPIA – BRUNO COQUATRIX

Village halls and multipurpose halls
4.7/5
32 reviews

Well-known acoustics, red velvet curtains, a balcony with impeccable views of the scene, two thousand places… Olympia deserves its fame. His story is rather turbulent. There was on its site of the Russian mountains, and then a first Olympia from 1893 where all the stars of the caf period were passed: La Goulue, Frehel, Damia… The room is then converted into a cinema before becoming the Parisian music Hall temple in 1954 when the daring Bruno Coquatrix takes the lead. A legendary period begins with the performances of the young Gilbert Bécaud. All the French and foreign stars want to climb on the scene of this place that became mythical, especially after Edith Piaf touched thousands of spectators. The Beatles, Umm Kalsoum - for its only recital outside the Arab world - Jacques Brel, Georges Brassens, Jimi Hendrix, Otis Redding, Louis Armstrong, the Rolling Stones… History fails to stop in the 1990 s when the owner, Société Générale, plans to demolish the block of buildings where Olympia is located. Classified in 1993, it is finally reconstituted 6 metres below its original location, while the facade is preserved. This curious operation took place in 1997, Bécaud was the first to sing in this new Olympia, a room that was bought by the multinational Vivendi Universal in 2001.

A reference, of course! Treat yourself to the luxury of tasting the best traditional hot chocolate in Paris. Named the African, it owes its name to the origins of the three cocoas that make it up: Ghana, Niger and Côte d'Ivoire. With its powerful and strong aromas, it is the pride of the house that keeps the secret of its recipe, just like Mont-Blanc, this gourmet pastry that combines the crunch of meringue with the lightness of whipped cream and the sweetness of vermicelli and chestnut cream. It is to the Austrian confectioner Antoine Rumpelmayer that we owe these original creations, which have conquered the most refined palates. The setting, too, is splendid. In this universe blending cinema, music (excellent by the way), architecture and interior design, we keep coming back to taste the 4 seasonal menus and enjoy the perfect cocktail to suit our mood. A must-try is "le digeo gourmand", a homemade pastry accompanied by a top-of-the-range digestif. Cocktail classes and mixology workshops, spirits tasting evenings. COMÉDIE CAUMARTIN

Theater
4.3/5
32 reviews

The Comédie Caumartin is one of those popular theaters where laughter has been the order of the evening for decades. Numerous plays by Georges Feydeau, Tristan Bernard and Sacha Guitry, as well as "one-man shows", are on offer. Built in 1906, this 400-seat theater was named the Comédie Royale before adopting its current name in 1923. It closed in 1932 and was revived 20 years later by Jacques Fabbri's troupe. From 1960 to 1980, it presented "Boeing Boeing", Marc Camoletti's timeless vaudeville. Since then, one boulevard play follows another.
