Day 1: Moving up to the north

Steps: Gloucester, Boston

From Boston, go up the coast to the north towards Canada. Start with Cape Ann bay and the beautiful harbour of Gloucester. Take the time to relax on Half Moon Beach before you watching the whale from Gloucester.

Day 2: The charm of Rockport

Steps: Rockport

Breakfast in Gloucester then take the road to . In this charming village, have lunch time and stroll through Main Street to discover the art galleries.

Day 3: Lobster lunch in Camden

Steps: Camden

Continue your road to the Maine and the Village of Camden. Enjoy the lobsters on the go or in the restaurant and watch the fishing boats back. Spend a day or a few hours in the Camden Hills States Park.

Day 4: Bar Harbor and the Acadia national park

Steps: Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park

Continue on to the north to reach the and the city of . You're almost at the edge of the U.S., just a few kilometres from the Canadian border. Nature is wild and indomitable. Plan a day to explore the park by car, by stopping at the most beautiful view points of the site. You can prolong your walk with a horseback ride or a walk between land and sea.

Day 5: Franconia and Bretton Woods, entering to the White Mountains

Steps: Wolfeboro, Franconia, Bretton Woods, Lincoln

From , go to and White Mountain National Forest. If you are lucky enough to travel in the autumn and during the months of September and October, you will enjoy a wonderful show. You will enjoy the best view in the small villages of , and .

Day 6: Hiking in the White Mountains

Reserve the day to hike on one of the trails in the White Mountains starting from the surrounding villages. Mountain and hiking enthusiasts can spend a few days in order to enjoy the many marked paths.

Day 7: Stowe, in Vermont

Steps: Stowe

Finish your discovery by and the station. In the heart of the mountains, this small village is one of the oldest ski resorts in Vermont. The beautiful chalets are adjacent to the luxurious hotel complexes which host city dweller in winter and summer. Nature is a real principle of life here. One eats organic and preserves the environment.

Day 8: Burlington

If you still have some time left, go to and Lake Champlain to complete your stay.

Day 9: Back to Boston

The last day will be devoted to the trip back to Boston along the coast. You still have a few hours to breath the marine air of New England.
