Day 1: Day 1. The Montérégie

Steps: Dunham, Beloeil, Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Rougemont

Drive to Beloeil in the Richelieu Valley. Enjoy lunch at one of Vieux-Beloeil's gourmet restaurants overlooking the river. Just across the road is the town of Mont-Saint-Hilaire, where you can take a mountain hike at the Gault Nature Reserve or admire the works of renowned Quebec artists at the Musée des beaux-arts de Mont-Saint-Hilaire. Then take Route 112 to Rougemont, Quebec's apple capital, home to several orchards and cider mills. Then, to get closer to the wine route, take the road to Dunham and the surrounding area, where you'll spend the night.

Day 2: Day 2. The Brome-Missisquoi Wine Route

Steps: Sutton, Knowlton, Dunham

First day in the Eastern Townships, a harmonious combination of Anglo-Saxon charm and Quebecois joie de vivre. The wine route offers great addresses in Dunham and its surroundings, including Union Libre Cidre & Vin, which produces, among other things, Fire Cider, a true delight. Not far from there is the Vignoble de l'Orpailleur and its Tire-Bouchon restaurant, an almost obligatory stop that also houses the ÉCONOMUSÉE du vigneron. Depending on your interests, continue along the wine route or go directly to the charming mountain village of Sutton. We recommend spending the night there or in one of the country inns of Brome Lake.

Day 3: Day 3. Lake Memphremagog

Steps: Magog, Saint-Benoit-Du-Lac, Orford

Departure for Saint-Benoît-du-Lac to visit theBenedictine abbey of the same name, a neo-Gothic work of art and a monastery of contemplative life where several dozen monks live. It is here that famous cheeses and ciders are made. Then head back to Magog, a popular resort destination on the shores of Lake Memphremagog. There are many options to occupy your day here: a stroll through the streets of downtown, a cruise with Escapades Memphrémagog, agrotourism at Bleu Lavande (the fields are in bloom in the middle of summer), outdoor activities at Mont-Orford National Park, etc.

Day 4: Day 4. North Hatley and Sherbrooke

Steps: Magog, North Hatley, Sherbrooke

After a little more strolling in Magog, we head for North Hatley. It is here that the Manoir Hovey is established, a Relais & Châteaux of indisputable charm and standing. You have two options here: either you live the full experience of the manor, meal and night included, or you enjoy the heart of the village (take a break at the Pilsen) before taking the road to Sherbrooke (good addresses follow one another on Wellington Street where you will surely spend the whole evening).

Day 5: Day 5. Mont-Mégantic National Park

Steps: North Hatley, Sherbrooke, Notre-Dame-Des-Bois, Montréal

Take the road to Notre-Dame-des-Bois. Whether you're leaving from North Hatley or Sherbrooke, be sure to stop in Lennoxville to visit the magnificent Bishop's University chapel. Once you arrive at Mont-Mégantic National Park, you will be spoiled for choice when it comes to outdoor activities. Don't miss a visit to the ASTROLab, a museum and activity center dedicated to astronomy for the general public. Return to Montreal.
