Every summer, as part of the Summartónar festival, classical music concerts are held throughout the islands, in churches, village halls... or a cave. This festival is an opportunity for composers and musicians to showcase their music in intimate venues, and to get closer to the public. In the heart of Klaksvík, the Summar Festival takes place at the beginning of August, considered to be the major musical event on the Faroe Islands. Particularly family-friendly, it features an area entirely dedicated to children. In a festive atmosphere, headliners and international artists rub shoulders with local choirs singing their traditional songs.

Country and blues fans won't be disappointed. The picturesque village of Sørvágur hosts the annual Country & Blues Festival. Here, line dancing takes place between hay bales and beachside barbecues. The town of Fuglafjørður on the island of Eysturoy is the setting for this highly entertaining festival. For three days, the whole town gets involved and is transformed into a huge knitting club. The program includes workshops in private rooms, knitting in local cafés and warm friendship. A unique opportunity to discover Faroese knitting culture!

This is THE Faroese festival. It attracts well-known Scandinavian artists as well as international headliners. It's also the ideal place to discover a wide range of emerging and established Faroese artists such as Eivør Pálsdóttir. The festival takes place over three days in the picturesque village of Gøta on the island of Eysturoy. What makes it special is that it's right on the water. From the beach... or one of the many bubble baths, you can attend concerts of all kinds (pop, gospel, rap, metal, electro...).

Right in the heart of Tórshavn, this pop festival lasts 12 hours non-stop. Concerts along the quay, Undir Bryggjubakka, and in and around Vágsbotn square.
