A little way from the village, on the path leading up to the cliffs, this pretty café has taken its place in an old house south of Sandavágur. The atmosphere is there: creaking floorboards, the smell of tar or fish, dimmed lights... Indeed, fresh fish is the main ingredient of the daily menu. A narrow alley separates the café from the century-old Úti á Gjógv warehouse, renovated and transformed into a venue for conferences, meetings, parties... As you leave the café, you'll see an area of sloping stone paving, corresponding to the old salt cod drying grounds!

The Nordic House organizes exhibitions of all types and also offers evening activities, from classical music to film screenings, conferences or workshops for children.

On the first floor of the building housing the Havnar Klubbi. American films are usually shown in their original version.

The night rendezvous of Tórshavn's youth (over 25 years old) in this discotheque, the largest in the archipelago. Luux is located in the city center. It is spread over two floors and has two bars. About ten tables are open for reservation every Saturday night. It is better to think of reserving! The building doesn't look like much but it's the place to party until the end of the night. At the turntables, DJs electrify the dancefloor but there are also concerts of local bands. Atmosphere guaranteed!

For a long time, Feringians used to meet with each other in clubs where they could consume imported alcohol in bulk. Since the end of Prohibition in the early 1990s, the clubs have continued to exist despite the opening of bars and restaurants and the state commerce governing the sale of alcohol. In general, you can only get in if you are a member, some will accept if someone you know is in the club. Others, like the Havnar Klubbi, are more easily accessible... to tourists!

A young and friendly address which renews a little the spirit of Klaksvík. Nice decoration, bar with a long counter filled with pastries, including the unavoidable cinnamon rolls! The room is cosy, the terrace gives on the fjord with the mountains in background. The plates are copious. We come here to taste solid burgers, healthier plates with the inevitable avocado, bowls of soup or tasty breakfast plates. You will love the atmosphere and the welcome. Café Friða is warm even if it is far from the more southern reception!

A friendly little café in the Hafnia hotel, where you can try a variety of local and foreign beers. It hosts rock concerts on Saturday evenings. One of Tórshavn's trendiest spots for young people.

Close to the famous waterfall. A pretty little café serving traditional cuisine, including smørrebrød. Hearty dishes, well presented, fresh produce. Fish very well cooked. Pleasant, smiling service and good value for money.

A very famous bar in the islands, very frequented. Very nice decoration with a pronounced taste for wallpaper! The atmosphere is young and trendy. The only place where you can see hipsters in Tórshavn! The bar serves original cocktails and local beer, and on the first floor you'll find Bjórkovin (the Beer Cove), the first craft beer bar in the Faroes, serving a special selection of mainly Icelandic beers. Live music every Thursday and DJ sessions on Saturday nights. You can even eat delicious hamburgers here.

Maggies Café is a super-nice café where we like to bring people together for fun. In addition to the many live music dates, you can enjoy a game (darts, playing cards, backgammon), fill up on some nibbles: pita bread, burgers or fish'n'chips. Fish soup is served at weekends or on request. Homemade ice cream. And Maggie's has been awarded the 2019 FMA price (Faroese Music Award) for its initiative for musicians!

A cosy and lively café with a beautiful view of the marina. Kaffihúsið is frequented by young and old, tourists and sailors alike. You can easily identify it by its ultra-contemporary facade of steel plates with floral motifs, which is beautiful at night because it is backlit. Here, delicious cappuccinos, tight coffees and very affordable snacks are served, but above all tasty desserts. On the floors, four conference rooms that can accommodate up to 60 people each. Beautiful terrace.
