You can't miss it, it's a small house with a grassy roof that you discover when you arrive from the passenger terminal, alone in the middle of the street. On the model of the Danish cafés, you can drink and eat cheap dishes flavored with dill, in a warm atmosphere. The room is not very big which favors contacts. The public is very mixed: one takes advantage of the relaxed and cosy atmosphere, one listens to a concert every Saturday evening when the beer is flowing! One can also be tempted by a shot of aquavit in the Faroese way.

A very nice bistronomic address, this little sister of KOKS, a starred restaurant of international fame. The setting is warm, the staff very communicative. You enter a traditional house in the old port, with blackened wooden floors and beams. The kitchen works with products caught in the surrounding waters (sea urchins, langoustines, capelin...) with surprising vegetable touches. Grilled fish skin, razor clams with tartar sauce, zucchini and rhubarb salad... and for dessert, a cardamom strawberry vanilla bun.

A beautiful red house with a green roof, windows that go all the way down to the ground, so you can enjoy a nice light! A shaded terrace. Benches and a seated figure smiling at you. A cosy atmosphere. Home-made sandwiches, pies and cakes made from organic and local products, beers from small independent breweries and a team that takes care of everything, that's the recipe of Café Paname. But the most of this establishment: the adjoining bookshop where you will find old books, wooden toys or decorative objects.

A renowned restaurant where they serve Feringian and Nordic cuisine revisited with mutton (sometimes fermented) and fish. The charm of the place makes you want to stay. A traditional architecture. Antique furniture as in a family home. A female service, welcoming and smiling. Sobriety, authenticity, originality in the decoration and in the plate, especially when you have the chance to have lunch on the table in the shape of a Viking ship! In summer, the terrace offers a panoramic view on the port. In short, we love it!

At the edge of the fjord, in the city center, a pub so typical, almost an institution. In any case, Roykstovan exists since 1974! You will recognize it easily, it is a house painted on its high part in green, with on the first floor a nice fresco illustrating the surrounding landscapes. One comes here to taste a feroyar, local beer, on the occasion of a match broadcasting or the evenings of concert. Quiz nights are also organized but, in this case, it is better to speak local! Atmosphere guaranteed!

The Ruts restaurant is located in the Føroyar hotel. For the view, for the setting, but also for its refined gourmet cuisine, with fish dishes but also a very vegetal bias. A feast for the eyes, a treat for the palate!

Located in the hotel of the same name, the restaurant is renowned throughout the archipelago for its delicate, refined cuisine, beautifully presented plates and impeccable service. And if you're looking for a snack, try the Café Kaspar! You'll have the chance to try some very local specialties, such as puffin in sauce. The scallops are also excellent. On Sundays, it's a typically Faroese meal at very reasonable prices. And why not take advantage of the sauna!

Etika, located a stone's throw from Café Natur on the way down to the port, offers excellent sushi and sashimi. It's rather original, with its black wooden architecture and lawn. It looks like a box on the pavement, with large bay windows to better appreciate the delicacy of the compositions. Japanese cuisine has pride of place here, and it's also an opportunity to dine on local salmon or cod. The setting is pleasant and bright.

A family-run restaurant with red-checkered napkins that takes you to the other side of Europe, where excellent Italian cuisine is served. You can have a delicious hake fillet, succulent lobster au gratin or classic lasagne. Italian and French wine list. Professional service and a warm welcome.

Located in the heart of the Tórshavn hotel, just opposite Tinganes and the harbour, Hvonn serves international cuisine with a strong Southeast Asian flavour: Bao, pad, nasi goreng, yum pla with lightly spiced fresh salmon, noodles, woks... It's a great way to vary your eating habits or discover a more original cuisine! What's more, adults will appreciate the lounge-like atmosphere on Saturday evenings. It's an ideal place to spend a pleasant evening. To eat in or take away.

The Fjørukrógvin restaurant is located in the tourist center of Vestmanna. It serves a variety of dishes made mainly from Faroese ingredients, including fish and lamb.

In summer, the restaurant offers a buffet lunch available to those taking the boat trip to the cliffs, either on return from the morning tour or before the 2:15pm tour.

Krambúðin is a hybrid place where you'll find beautiful woollen clothing and handicrafts. You can also enjoy a cup of coffee and a pastry.

Charming owner. Friendly, fairytale setting, like Alice in Wonderland. Delicious meal of fresh fish (cod) topped with sweet caramelized onions, perfectly seasoned and roasted small golden potatoes and a lovely shredded cabbage salad. For dessert, delicious blueberry cake with tea/coffee. Great meal in a friendly setting. Highly recommended, especially for its beef cuts!

A small restaurant not too far from the local school serving, as the name suggests, fish and French fries.

A pretty little dark-colored wooden house with a terrace. Its name, written in white capital letters, can be seen from afar. All the delicacies of a fast-food restaurant, savory and sweet. Very reasonable prices.

Large bay windows, a warm, bright atmosphere and a lovely sunny terrace. This magnificent café is located in downtown Tvøroyri and offers a wide choice of hot dishes (fish and chips, chicken curry, pasta bolognese, burger...) as well as excellent coffee and delicious cakes.
