ASSOCIATION POUR LES MUSÉES DES BROSSERIES DE L'OISE
Read moreThis association that has existed since 1982 now includes more than 15 000 objects related to brushware: brushes, machinery, archives, audio and audiovisual archives. But since the closure of the Saint Félix Museum in 2009, it has no place to display its collection fund. After a temporary exhibition at the tourist office of Chiry Ourscamp, she will exhibit at the Musée de la @ and the Tabletterie on 200 m ² between November 2011 and April 2012. For Heritage Days, educational panels will be displayed in the hall hall and a commented visit of Tracy will be made by the president of the association. It should be noted that the village had at the beginning of the century no fewer than brosseries, just as in Beauvais and Béthisy Saint Pierre.
THE SERGER'S HOUSE
Read moreUntil the th century, textiles provided an additional income - in addition to agriculture - to many households in the Beauvaisis countryside. This is the case of the town of Hardivillers which once made Serge, a light cloth of wool. The Maison du Serger has retained its original structure, with its workshop overlooking the street and its house of habitation and its garden located on the back, as well as its old weathered. Its history covers the artisanal evolution of the village. See in this museum: a loom and a boutonnier workshop since the tabletterie replaced the textile in the local economy. The restoration work lasted 7 years and registered as part of the cultural project of the Textile Route in Picardy.
