In this museum, the history of lace takes center stage with the discovery of lacemaking techniques and production centers such as Alençon and Le Puy-en-Velay. In Chantilly, bobbin lace was used to adorn the clothes and accessories of bourgeois women. Musée visité dans le cadre de mes études. Très beau petit musée, ambiance assez cosy et plutôt familiale ! L’exposition visitée portait sur le travail d’Annie Bascoul. Très beau travail de la dentelle, moi qui n’était pas trop fan, c’est validé. En bas, très bonne explication du travail de dentelière avec une démonstration : la personne prenait soin de raconter son métier avec passion ! J’ai pu en apprendre plus sur la dentelle. Très bon petit musée qui ne se voit pas forcément mais super intéressant !
