This museum is a real success: it showcases the architecture of the former Episcopal Palace! It boasts major archaeological collections, with remarkable Gallo-Roman remains in the basement and the base of the 3rd-century rampart, made up of sculpted elements from ancient buildings (like the exceptional series of ex-votos from the nearby Halatte forest). The Renaissance gallery has been well renovated, as has the Angel Room.

Je m'attendais absolument pas à voir un musée aussi riche dans une ville comme Senlis. Plein de merveilles gallo-romaines et de sculptures médiévales.

Een heel interessant museum in een prachtig oud gebouw met geweldige kunst; vooral de kleurrijke schilderijen van Serafine maakten veel indruk. Senlis is een van de mooiste dorpjes in Noord Frankrijk en een aanrader om het bezoek te combineren met Chantilly. Ga eten bij Julianon in Senlis als je verrast wil worden!

Très beau palais épiscopal et musée intéressant notamment avec ses salles voûtées du XIVème siècle.
