A bucolic landscape and judicious layout allow you to discover this former iron and steel valley. Some footbridges have been renovated and others created to take you from one bank to the other. Take advantage of the beauty of the surroundings for a picnic stop or a moment of contemplation. For soccer fans, you'll pass by the Joeuf stadium where Platini scored his first goals. You're all set for a lovely stroll.

Whether you're a walker, a beginner or an experienced sportsman, whether you want to relax, exercise, rollerblade or cycle, or simply get some fresh air, this greenway runs along the banks of the Moselle
Right bank, departure from Thionville. Follow the canal as far as Yutz, then follow the river through its loop. From Basse-Ham, you reach Koenigsmacker.
Left bank, departure from Manom. But you can also reach the banks at Thionville, below the town hall. This paved road links Manom to Remich in Luxembourg for just over 50 km.
Rive et coeur de ville en fête: an event not to be missed during the summer months (July-August). It's organized by the city of Thionville, and the festive atmosphere is guaranteed! On the riverbanks, it's time for festivities and relaxation. On Thionville's quaysides, the little booths are packed with drinks, ice creams and other delicacies. Children can enjoy a range of fun and sporting activities. As for the lazier ones, they can simply settle down with a book on the deckchairs set up for the occasion. But be warned: it'll be harder to get back on the bike afterwards!
Smart: you can assess the effort you've put in at any time, thanks to markers that mark out the greenway and indicate the distance remaining to the next village. Get away from it all!

It is a place of information, awareness and animation around sustainable development open to all. Read moreThe Collectif Art association, formerly Dada, founded in 2000, is involved in the development of Brazilian and hip-hop culture around capoeira, batucada and hip-hop dance, not only in Metz but throughout the Lorraine region. The association has won several national and international dance competitions. Capoeira classes are held on Wednesdays from 3 to 4 p.m. for children at Les Arènes de Metz, on Wednesdays from 8 to 10 p.m. for adults at Les Arènes, and on Fridays from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Saint-Symphorien gymnasium, also for adults. Batucada classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8-10pm at the Saint-Symphorien gymnasium. Hip-hop dance classes for children are held on Wednesdays from 4pm to 6pm at Les Arènes. For teens and adults, they take place Wednesdays from 6pm to 8pm and Saturday mornings from 10am to 12pm at Les Arènes. At the same venue, dancehall classes are held on Saturdays from 4pm to 5:30pm. TROTT'BALADE

The mayor of Réchicourt-le-Château first came across this attractive means of locomotion and leisure during a vacation in Haute-Savoie. Since then, six colorful, brand-new scooters have been waiting for you at the foot of the church. Equipped with large all-terrain wheels and a wide, comfortable platform, these electric scooters offer gentle mobility for a stroll from one end of the village to the other. The tour is punctuated by stops at some of the area's most unusual sites, including the impressive Grande Écluse, over 15 m high and offering a magnificent view over the ponds and canal. You'll also discover the Cité Bata and the former factory, red and immense with its distinctive architecture. We follow the old canal for a journey back in time in the footsteps of the lock-keepers, taking in the discovery trail, the towpath and its 6 old locks, replaced in 1964 by the Grande Écluse. CENTRE AQUATIQUE DE SARREBOURG

The fish tanks are fed by the waters of the Red Saar. You can buy fish directly, prepared or live, or come and fish for a day or half-day in an exceptional site on the edge of the forest. Between two fishing trips, you can also take a stroll along the many paths that criss-cross the surrounding forest.

Read more56 km from Lutzelbourg to Strasbourg, via Saverne. You can also cycle along the canal from the inclined plane to Strasbourg cathedral: a beautiful 50 km route. This is where the Aéro-Zorn Paragliding and Paramotor Club lives, which has about sixty members, mainly between Dabo in Moselle and Saverne in Bas-Rhin. The Club manages the Haselbourg, Hommert and Reinhardsmunster sites. Do not hesitate to contact them!
