LES FRÈRES BERTHOM
Read moreBarely inside, we like the irresistible atmosphere of the place. A false decor, lit at lanterns where wooden casings and stools are scattered here and there… with a bit of imagination, you think you're in a tavern of the Far West or in a pirate monument where lots of robbers talk! The Berthom Brothers? It's primarily a reference pub on Metz and elsewhere since the sign is present in about fifteen cities and since we come here to taste many exceptional beers. It's a meticulous one, because the map is not far from fifty, in pressure or in bottle. And every proposal is accompanied by an interesting and useful explanation when you're lost in this tidal wave of blondes and brown. We have a small little for Maredsous 8 (brown) in pressure, for his subtle peat notes, or the Trappist Rochefort bottled for his powerful aroma. with small dry sausages or cheeses (consigned) to snack for a few euros… Attention, these beers are strong, they are really to be tasted slowly, to make the pleasure last! On the soft side, this place is very popular with students (it is crowded from Thursday to Saturday evening), a happy-hour effect requires: The pint is at the price of half from 7 p. m. to 9 p. m. In summer, the terrace does not dissolve! We understand the service is efficient and friendly.
Run smart. advice to drivers, the map offers non-alcoholic cocktails and the establishment establishes a custom taxi service.

AUX PARAIGES
Read moreThose looking for the temple of beer in Metz should head straight for the statue of Saint-Louis. It is certainly not the saint who will serve you a drink, but here you are next to the bar. The atmosphere is festive and lively, and it is difficult to come across expressions of boredom on the terrace or in the bar. With a reference of 500 beers in stock, 200 beers ready to be served on the tables and about ten draught beers, it's quite something to drink. To be discovered in lager beers: the Barbar, the Chouffe or the Averbode..., in amber beers: the Delirium, the Gulden Draak... But beware, they can be treacherous: soft in the mouth but strong in alcohol. With moderation of course!

A name now familiar to all Messiners who like a night out. And all we want to do is dive in headfirst! Near Colline Sainte-Croix, the place is fascinating. Shelves full of jars just waiting to be opened to release their aromas. This rum-maker knows how to cook, blending fruits, spices, herbs and sweets, which they leave to macerate for several months. Arranged rums are in great demand, but there are 130 recipes to try. Some are said to be aphrodisiacs. BAR SAINT-JACQUES
Read moreThe oldest bar in the city of Metz is ranked second place. Founded in 1906, the Saint-Jacques Bar now appears as a place where the customer is not judged by his clothes, but rather his ability to create the atmosphere. It can also be restored in a simple way (crow, salad) with a half of the beer. During the karaoke evenings of this bar, we even hear some and some push the chansonnette until very late in the night… Relaxed atmosphere as possible: here, not to take your head! In the summer, the terrace extends from the nearby addresses and like the others, it is taken from the first rays of sunlight. In short, located 200 m from Metz Cathedral, this bar is one of our favorite addresses for a drink between friends and family.
