Discover the Langatte circuit, a seven-kilometre nature walk that takes in part of the Stock pond. This pleasant walk between water and forest takes you through a variety of landscapes, notably along the banks of the Sarre canal and through the Stock wood. You'll also come across the fortified house, used during the wars to house soldiers. Allow around 2 hours 15 to complete this circular hike, ideal for nature lovers.

Follow the white bike logo on the green background of the Circuit des Étangs. A paradise for cycle tourists, the Pays des Étangs is a favorite with cyclists for its scenery and quiet, rolling roads. The loop from Rhodes and the Etang du Stock reaches Gondrexange and its pond, following gentle undulations through the countryside and unspoilt nature of the Parc Naturel Régional de Lorraine, to reach Réchicourt-le-Château. Beautiful panorama at Tarquimpol. A shorter variant is the Circuit des étangs Rhodes - Lindre - Canal, 31 km long.

In addition to the many activities offered by Center Parcs, you'll find the Centre Equestre du Haut Bois nearby. Pony rides are offered by Center Parcs Les Trois Forêts on the park, and horseback rides by the equestrian center outside the grounds. The equestrian center welcomes children aged two and over for pony rides, as well as courses for all levels during the summer vacations.

Whether you're staying in a cottage or visiting for the day, there's no limit to the activities on offer at Center Parcs les Trois Forêts. A day ticket allows you to enjoy this immense space of nature and games. Aqua Mundo, its exceptional water park, offers water at 29°C all year round and 5,000 m² of facilities, including a 190 m slide, a wild river, a bubble bath and a wave pool. This circuit, which follows the Deux Sarres cycle path, offers a wide range of possibilities for all levels. The route via Vasperviller, which totals 18 km along safe, signposted paths, is perfect for families, as it's so easy and enjoyable to ride. For the more athletic, there's a 23.5 km variant via Voyer that connects the two valleys. From the plateau, you'll enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the Vosges mountains.

This base is dedicated to sailing and wind sports. Diving and other underwater sports are also practiced here. It's an offshoot and spot of ACAL, the Aquatic Club d'Alsace et de Lorraine, best known for wingfoil. The base remains open as long as weather conditions permit. The large clubhouse room is at your disposal for changing, sheltered from the wind and rain. If you're not yet a member of ACAL but would like to join the team, you can sign up on site.

This little stopover is the ideal place to recharge your batteries after a journey by boat, bike or on foot. Equipped with picnic tables, a barbecue, petanque courts and a pontoon for easy access to the mainland once the boats are moored. It's all part of a peaceful, relaxing experience.

An equestrian center and show stable, La Cantera is a multi-faceted, comprehensive space dedicated to horses and riders, set in 4 hectares of meadowland. The setting features a three-kilometer gallop track, a huge cross-country course, forest trails and even an educational equestrian farm. On site, in the arena or the riding arena, you'll be welcomed from the age of 3 for a gentle and fun first contact. A unique space under the direction of Loïc Teutsch, equestrian choreographer and artist, the activities on offer are varied: training courses, dressage, breeding, boarding, horseback riding, show jumping and equestrian shows. Fort de Queuleu, a witness to Metz's military history, is now a quiet green space. Following the Aurore storm in 2022, part of the fitness trail is now accessible, but the rest remains closed. The site is home to casemate A/caserne 2, a witness to the horrors of the Second World War, where over 1,500 resistance fighters were interned by the Gestapo. The Association du Fort de Metz-Queuleu, founded in 1971, is committed to preserving this memory through a variety of activities.

It's one of the jewels in the crown of river heritage that you'll discover on this itinerary, which unveils the developments made to enable river navigation. After skirting the pond-reservoir, the itinerary continues along six ancient locks that once enabled traffic to flow on the Marne-Rhine canal. The Grande Écluse that replaced these locks has saved a considerable amount of time. It allows boats to pass through in 30 minutes, compared with 6 hours previously. It is the French lock with the highest head on a Freycinet-gauge canal. Built between 1962 and 1965, it is an impressive 15.7 m high structure. From the lock site, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the canal and ponds. An interpretation trail, set between wood and water, details the canal's natural, human and historical riches.

Two other tours can be combined with the Grande Écluse tour. The nearest is the Petit Étang, which takes in the wildest part of the Réchicourt pond, a reservoir on the Marne-Rhine canal, divided into five basins, one of which is still used for merchant and pleasure boating. The Bataville circuit follows through an industrial and urban complex, a protected heritage site since 2014, around the former Bata Czech shoe factory and the workers' houses. All in all, three very different and richly varied tours.

A version for children is proposed on this circuit under the name Water and Biodiversity Trail. This can be enjoyed by the whole family, with the help of a booklet containing riddles to be solved along the way. This enigmatic walk also raises awareness of the surrounding biodiversity among young visitors. The booklet is available from the Sarrebourg Moselle Sud tourist office.

Starting from the Mittersheim marina, you begin this easy walking trail, signposted by the Club Vosgien, along the Sarre canal, before crossing the bridge to the campsite. This very aquatic loop leads to the Cornée d'Argent, a bucolic arm of a pond, with passages through undergrowth. On the way back, you walk along the other side of the campsite to the village of Mittersheim. Take the opportunity to visit it!

It's an emblematic circuit and... a hell of a ride. The entire route is reserved for trained cyclists. In fact, the Tour de France peloton has crossed the Col du Donon several times: a positive vertical drop of 1,375 m! But what panoramic views over the Vosges, the Alsace plain and the Lorraine plateau! The route passes the Notre-Dame-de-la-Délivrance (Seven Roses) chapel, isolated in the commune of Turquestein-Blancrupt, and offers a nature stop with bench and picnic table at the Abri des Baronnies on the GR 534 at Saint-Quirin.

A natural and built heritage trail. You can park in the Rue des Remparts parking lot, close to the start of this hike. You'll pass by the cemetery before joining a forest path leading to the Gros Chêne. Back in 1920, the Gros Chêne was described as a fine specimen to be preserved. It's still there, the undeniable king of the forest. Then on to Niederstinzel and the ruins of Geroldseck Castle. On the way back, visit the town of Fénétrange, with its castle (^11th-16th century) lined with Diane's gardens overlooking the Sarre. Also worth a visit are the collegiate church (^16th century) and numerous medieval houses and mansions belonging to the bailiffs of the Sires de Fénétrange.

A strategic point, Nitting is on the beautiful Voie Verte des Deux Sarres itinerary that links Sarrebourg to Abreschviller, in 18 km, along the Sarre Rouge canal, on the old towpath with its smooth asphalt surface. So from Nitting you can cycle, rollerblade or walk 9 km north to Sarrebourg or south to Abreschviller and its forest. Of course, you'll need to count the return journey too!

The airfield in the Sarrebourg region is home to a wide range of activities. First flights, ultralight flying school... Did you know that for the price of a standard B license, you can take your microlight pilot's license? After just a few months' experience, you'll be able to show your family around Saarbrücken's magnificent forests, lakes and Vosges mountains, as seen from the air. And in just two hours of microlight flying, you'll even be able to see the Normandy coastline!

Located next to the train station, this arts training centre is a singular place where learning, the arts, well-being and personal development come together. La Fabrique has 7 activity spaces to reveal the talents of the participants: manual arts workshop, theatre, dance, singing, photo/video studio, Zen and fitness space and a fashion, sewing and styling workshop. Basse-Ham is famous for its SN Cap 250 sailing club, which offers sailing activities for children, teenagers and adults. It also offers sailing lessons, vacation courses and paddle board rides. The club has a fleet of boats and also offers boat storage services.

Rombas is located in Moselle, between Metz and Thionville. For art and painting enthusiasts, the Atelier Misia is the place to be. The studio offers painting courses for all levels, with a real professional. Classes are open all year round and can accommodate up to 4 to 6 students per class, allowing for a better listening experience. The studio offers a range of painting techniques, including acrylics, oils, watercolors, inks, pastels and oil pastels. It also offers courses in drawing, illustration, sculpture and decorative art on various media such as silk, porcelain, wood and glass.
