Grotta di Santa Barbara is a tourist attraction located in Bindua. It is in the province of Carbonia-Iglesias. The cave was accidentally discovered in 1952 during mining operations. Before being opened to the public, it was studied to verify the characteristics of the microclimate inside. Parameters such as temperature, relative humidity, pressure and carbon dioxide levels were measured. This information has enabled a continuous monitoring system to be set up to detect any changes in natural conditions due to the influx of visitors. The cave is currently open to the public by reservation. The Grotta di Santa Barbara is an important natural monument, and monitoring its microclimate enables us to take the necessary measures to preserve it.

This volcanic massif in trachyte and 1,000 m tall basalt is fully covered with trees. From its summits, you can enjoy the views of volcanic points and forests.

The entrance of the site that is free is done by private gardens, not always easy to find. You must ask the owner to visit them. This is done by following the signs for the Basalti Colonnari from the city center. Guspini's column basalts are very rare geological formations, about 3 million years old. These basaltic rock walls are characterized by a hexagonal column structure produced by the removal and immediate cooling of lava flows.

Busachi is a small town in Sardinia. Although there isn't much information available on the town's tourist attractions, there does appear to be a tourist office where visitors can obtain further information.

Symbol of the mining epic of Bruggerru, the Henry Gallery was dug into the rock in 1865. It was used to transport minerals in steam locomotives from the excavation sites to the washing stations. Today, an electric train takes over the route and takes visitors to the bottom of the kilometre-long gallery. The return journey is via the old mule track that runs along the inside of the cliff. Large openings allowing natural light to enter had been dug and create spectacular viewpoints.

The museum is a little jewel that tells the story of the lagoon's aquatic flora and fauna, and recalls the memory of Sant'Antioco's naval carpentry. The other idea behind the MUMA is environmental education through workshops, excursions and educational activities. And unlike other museums, everything is modern and state-of-the-art - this place only recently opened its doors. Last but not least, you can also enjoy a coffee and breakfast here, and why not stay overnight. The initiative is truly commendable.

The Macc (Museo d'Arte Contemporanea of Calasetta) exhibits the donation of the Tuscan artist Ermanno Lainardi, an abstract painter who lived between Paris and this small town of the Sulcis. The collection offers a monochrome of international artists, including Albers, Fontana, Capogrossi, Hsiao Chin. This avant-garde museum, one of the most evocative of Sardinia for contemporary art, seduces not only by its works, but also by its position overlooking the sea. The regularly organised exhibitions follow the same pointed and open spirit.

In this museum you can admire testimonies of the pre-nuragic, nuragic, Phoenician, Punic and Roman periods found on the island of Sant'Antioco. The museum is rather small. It exhibits the urns found at the site of the tophet that contained the charred remains of children and animals. Engraved stelae have also been discovered there that have fascinated archaeologists. Among the other pieces on display, jewellery and goldsmith's pieces are the most astonishing.

The area is rugged, characterized by imposing granite outcrops, shaped by time in a bizarre way and enveloped by shrubs. The tomb and the arch can be reached in 20 minutes by walking along a path that climbs through the scrub. The monument presents the classic planimetric scheme of the tombs of giants: body of the tomb in the shape of apse, covered corridor and exedra in arch. Contrary to other nuragic sites, Barrancu Mannu has the advantage to be isolated and little frequented, what accentuates even more its charm. A beautiful discovery!

A wonderful oasis ideal for all tastes, from lovers of relaxation in nature and romantic atmospheres to sea sports enthusiasts. The marina of Gonnesa is an enchanting stretch of soft, compact sand of a beautiful amber-gold color in the Gulf of Lions (or Gonnesa). The sandy shoreline, wide and more than 3 km long, offers postcard views. Four beaches follow one another like a gentle slit in the rocky coast. Here there is little construction or concrete on the coast, it is wild, windy and we like that!
