MONTE ARCUENTU

Symbol of the Arbus region, this mountain, and the hills surrounding it, offer an exceptional variety of landscapes and wildlife. No less than 100 species of animals have been listed and 40 plant species are protected. The Sardinian deer is the most representative example of this area. Trails for walking, horse riding or cycling have been created, allowing visitors to admire the natural wealth of the area, its mountains and beaches, its mines and shafts, including the Pozzo Amsicora, symbol of the miners' last trade union struggles.
