NURAGHE OROLO

Difficult to find, the nuraghe is at the end of a small asphalt road that gets lost in the countryside. Restored in 1998, it is in very good condition. Its trachyte blocks are perfectly arranged to form a central tower and a two-lobed bastion. Access is through a gate in the centre of the bastion, between the two small towers. The central 14-metre tower has two almost intact tholo chambers. The staircase built in the masonry and lit by slots in the wall is absolutely remarkable. It leads to the second chamber.
