Since 2016, Luc Fonta has launched his domaine des 3 Mazets as an independent winemaker. This great enthusiast, lover of life, cultivates 6 ha of vines according to the principles of agroecology and agroforestry. As a companion of the soil he works, he works to develop biodiversity on his plots. Throughout the year, he implements actions that promote soil life and minimize soil erosion. In bottle, he currently offers four generous red wines, certified organic. Concentrated, they are best enjoyed at the table.

It's true that you don't necessarily expect sweets and chocolates from Pomerols's specialities. But lovers of sweets will not be disappointed by a little detour in the shop of Guy Bouzigues. In his bakery, in the heart of the village, this designer craftsman (European golden laurel) manufactures different varieties of confectionery based on almond paste, praline chocolate, fruit jelly. The gourmands come from a long distance to taste its specialities with the fine picpoul or son chocolate, the Bishops Des and its various tablets of chocolates. For the aperitif, Guy Bouzigues surprises the marriage of black chocolate and salty flavours such as roquefort, roquefort and pear but also to the olive cream of Clermont-l'Hérault.

Under the name of the vineyards Montreux de Fages, two men passionate about wine: Guy Rambier and Jacques Turn operate two areas in organic agriculture. Claude Jourdan, second generation of women winemakers, creates terroir wines with his Piquepoul, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Roussanne, Syrah, Grenache... Fans of muscat petit grain come from all over the world: straw-yellow color with green highlights, powerful nose with a hint of lemongrass, quince, acacia flower and a lovely roundness on the palate. You'll also find muscat marc brandy, "Vendanges d'automne", dry muscat, AOC Minervois red and the cuvée de Muscat de Noël!

At the foot of the Gardiole massif lies the vineyard of La Cave de Rabelais, where the vines are planted with a single grape variety, the white Muscat à petit grain, spread over two villages, Vic-la-Gardiole and Mireval. The tasting area of the Cave de Rabelais is an invitation to enter the funny and generous universe of this whimsical character that was François Rabelais, who quoted this beverage that he appreciated during his studies in Montpellier, in one of his writings. Since then, time has passed and Rabelais' cellar still seduces fine palates.

Between sea and pond, the Pastourel family cultivates their vineyard planted with small-grain white Muscat grapes. Visible from the road, the estate is well worth a visit. A visit to the cellar is worthwhile, as you'll discover the latest techniques in vine-growing, including software to control vinification. The house produces sweet, mellow, dry and sparkling muscats: something for everyone! Their cellar also offers a wide range of Languedoc wines (over 100 different estates) selected by the winemaker.

Since 1992, Marc Valette has maintained the same philosophy: to make the wine he loves, in harmony with the terroir. Thus was born this estate, planted with 80% Syrah, where the grapes are harvested in crates and over-ripe. The result is structured, powerful wines, both the Cuvée Maghani and the Cuvée Une et Mille Nuits. The latter is particularly captivating, with its garnet-red color enhanced by ruby highlights. On the nose, a series of black fruits follow: blackberry, a hint of fig and blackcurrant. The palate offers dense yet subtle tannins.

Lallemand is a renowned name in bakery and catering in the region. In particular, it's one of the best places to discover the famous Pézenas pâtés. Founded in 1910, it is now run by the fourth generation of the family. Located in three key areas of the town, the brand offers a collection of sweet and savoury delights: fig bread, caramelized walnut tart with salted butter and honey, chocolate brioche, old-fashioned apple tart with vanilla, marshmallows, chocolates and other delicacies...

It is by tasting the wine of the Boss, not far from where we discovered this wine grower, which rises in the heart of the shale of the red, rosé and white Saint Chinian, in bottles or in bulk. Andréus was regaled from a beautiful assembly of Mourvèdre, Syrah and Carignan. It is a generous wine that develops fruit aromas. A good address!
