Petit Futé's opinion on TIELLES CIANNI MARCOS
The speciality of Sète is the Tielle, which came with the first Italian immigrants from Gaëte (in the Bay of Naples) in 1850. If you are passing through Sète, it would be unthinkable not to try it. At this address or at the stand in the market hall, one of the undisputed masters of the tielle displays this small (or large) orange-red pie whose supple dough, worked with olive oil, contains a filling of octopus, tomato and spices... a delight! On sale, you will also find mussel turnovers, shrimp cakes, seafood cakes and excellent pizzas and pissaladières.
