The combination of the wonderful Mediterranean climate and the talent of the region's producers produce exceptional local products. These are sold in specialized boutiques and at markets. In La Grande Motte, shoppers can choose between the Wednesday gourmetmarket, the traditional Sunday market, and the night markets during the summer season. Any excuse is good enough to take advantage. Going to a night market is above all about enjoying the cool of the night, while doing good business at the same time.

A real village in the city, the Marché du Lez is the complementary alternative that the metropolis was missing. An energetic hot-spot, it brings together the flea markets of Le Lez, shops, start-ups... Far from being fixed, it expresses its desire to maintain a certain dynamism through the organization of events, exhibitions, performances and workshops. Gastronomy also plays a central role at the Market, as several restaurants, foodtrucks and halles gourmandes du Lez are open to lovers of good food.

In the main square of Ganges, as well as in the Halles, lively markets are held for several mornings, on Tuesdays and Fridays in particular. Every day, producers and merchants set up shop, bringing a little more life to the town. The biggest market takes place on Friday mornings, with some 250 stallholders. The stalls are brimming with local colors and scents, especially in summer with the multitude of fruits and vegetables available. You'll love strolling through the aisles to admire the treasures of the Cévennes and the whole department!

More than a hundred years old, the Centrales central Halles, built in the «Baltard» style, are the ideal place to provide daily products. Here you can buy the freshest products of the market. ', butchers, bakers, fine grocery stores, cheeses, fruit and vegetables, everything is there to revive tradition without spending a fortune. On Tuesday and Sunday from 7 a. m. to 13 p. m. other stalls complete the offer on the outskirts of the apartments.

For lovers of fresh and local produce, the Villeveyrac summer night market is a must-see event. Composed exclusively of farm producers and craftsmen, you are in direct contact with the producers. Every Monday from the beginning of July and for four to six weeks, this market spreads the typical scents and flavors of Villeveyrac and its surroundings. A beautiful Mediterranean market.

From Port Marianne, you can stroll along the river to the huge Marché du Lez with its halles. This trendy industrial hub is home to restaurants, producers, retailers and craftspeople. There's an abundance of food on offer, with plenty of places to nibble on the go or share a brunch, sample local and international dishes, sip a cocktail, toast with an IPA or shop and enjoy DJ entertainment, all in a lively, dressed-up atmosphere!

Emblematic monument of the Écusson, the Halles Castellane had lost their superb in recent years. After several requests for renovation, they have undergone in the summer of 2019 extensive improvements. In the same way as the Halles Laissac and those of the four seasons, the building is now more pleasant, brighter and more practical. Now the old dark ceiling that was the wart of the place has been replaced by a Mediterranean blue sky that blends beautifully with the cast iron and glass architecture of the market.

Voted the third most beautiful halles in Occitanie, they are the ambassadors of Sétoise's gastronomic reputation. The old building, dating from the 70s, has been replaced by a beautiful edifice designed by architect François Fontès. Open every morning, it houses 75 enthusiastic traders. Here, you can discover, taste and enjoy local specialities, while chatting with producers proud to share their treasures. Butchers, bakers, cheesemongers, fishmongers, market gardeners, wine merchants, caterers: it's all there for you to enjoy.

The traditional market: held every Saturday, this market welcomes around 120 traders throughout the day. Whether food or non-food, all products are of the highest quality, bringing color and freshness to downtown Pézenas. If Saturdays are public holidays, the market is held on Thursdays instead.

Organic market: for the past seven years, a market has been held every Saturday morning, bringing together organic and biodynamic producers from the Pézenas area. To revitalize the town center, traders are now present in the Square du Poilu.

Every day, from 8.30 am, a direct fish sale is organised with the small trades of Cap d'Agde on the Quai de l'Estacade.

Also, every summer (from June to September), Cap d'Agde hosts several convivial markets.

To do your shopping at the open air markets of Gigean, you can meet on Tuesdays on the market place and on Saturdays on the public garden place. Going to the market is always an opportunity to take part in the life of the village, to discover the local life, to stroll around, to discover new aromas and accents.

Tuesday: Big market.

It is a traditional market that livens up all year round in Marseillan-Ville and from mid-June to mid-September in Marseillan-Plage. The friendly and varied stals offer food with local producers who come to sell their vegetable and fruit products and local specialties, but there are also flowers from street vendors and all kinds of items to be hunted in the markets. It is also a great place to discover local life, stroll, discover flavors and new tastes.

Daily market.

This small market is a true treasure, you can find there all kinds of fresh products, a treat for lucky local residents and tourists. It is held throughout the year, under the covered markets of Marseillan-Ville, every Friday and Saturday morning. During the summer season, the market is held daily on Place du Marché of Marseillan-Plage.

Night markets.

In July and August, a craft market is held every Thursday from 7pm to midnight on the harbor of Marseillan-Ville. The traditional market is located on Place du Marché of Marseillan-Plage from 7pm to midnight.

Located at the foot of the Saint-Clément aqueduct, the Arceaux market is a must in the city. With its many stalls and lively atmosphere, it is one of the city's main markets. Every Tuesday and Saturday, thousands of customers flock there to discover what the 80 or so exhibitors have prepared for them. The exhibitors cover a wide range of goods, from food to literature to crafts. There are many local products (market gardeners, cheesemakers, bakers, etc.), often organically grown.

Wednesday is market day on the Île singulière. You can come on foot, by bike or by boat-bus to fill your basket with fresh produce, buy flowers or find a new outfit. Along Alsace-Lorraine and Gambetta streets, it's the food market to stock up on fruits and vegetables. On the Place Léon Blum, in front of the town hall, you can stroll between the plant and flower stands. On the side of the rue Savonnerie and on the quay of Algiers, you can find clothes, jewels and objects. A whole program!

Built in 1895, the Halles de Frontignan, with its metal frame that lets the light through, has been welcoming gourmets for over a century now.
