The municipality has an industrial past marked by the presence of nearly 400 forges in 1835, per 1 800 inhabitants. Indeed, Francheville and its region had the natural elements necessary to promote the development of metalwork: the wood served as a fuel, the water provided the driving force and the iron ore was used as a raw material. The museum, opened in 1984, recounts the history of the village and presents many pieces of metalwork such as presses, turn or even screw presses. Set in a half-timbered house on the seat of the town hall, it leaves history through objects representative of the activities of the day: the specialty of the town was the saddlery metalwork, i. e. the harness of horses. Francheville exported its production worldwide until the 1920 s.

Two minutes from downtown, there are many activities to enjoy (depending on the season) around this 22-hectare lake: fishing, canoeing, tennis, badminton, pedal boat, mini-golf or even hiking around the lake. Drinks, fast food, barbecues, picnic tables, showers and toilets are also available on site. Take the time and enjoy this leisure centre for young and old! Note that the 40 km long Voie Verte between Évreux and Le Bec-Hellouin passes nearby, which allows you to continue your walk.

Built in 1210 by Jean de Gisors in order to welcome the victims of a variant of leprosy which appeared after the first crusade of 1095, the leprosarium takes the name of Saint Lazarus, in reference to the patron saint of lepers, and the chapel, that of Saint Luke, the patron saint of doctors. The monument will be remodelled throughout its history. Inside, there is a superb fresco, The Last Judgement, by the Montenegrin artist Miodrag Djurić, also known as Dado.

Of the five churches that Beaumont-le-Roger had in the Middle Ages, only Saint-Nicolas remains. Since its fire in the 15th century, it has been rebuilt several times, until it was partially destroyed during the Second World War and finally restored in 1951. Its architecture is essentially Renaissance in style and it still has beautiful 16th century stained glass windows that coexist with modern Max Ingrand's stained glass windows, and wooden and stone statues from the 15th and 16th centuries. Also note its bell tower in which is nestled a very beautiful automaton, the "Regulus", which represents a Roman general, symbol of the given word.

The La Source Association, which has four sites in France, was created in 1991 by painter Gérard Garouste. In the castle and La Poultière park, it hosts artists in residence all year long, groups of children or adults in workshops of artistic practice, and organizes exhibitions and events around the plastic arts. The primary mission of this institution is the prevention of exclusion. The site also receives classes for artistic stays. Amazing to know that this village of 600 inhabitants is so intense!

This is an agricultural farm offering tours of the apiary to discover the world of bees. Advance booking is recommended, as tours last around 1 hour. Visits are open to children aged 3 and over, and visitors are advised to wear ankle-high socks. As well as tours, the apiary also has a store where you can buy honey, beeswax candles, handmade soaps and other honey-based products.
